Report Pitch Doctor December 24, 2009 9:52 AM GMT
Looks like bad light will be more of an issue than the rain. If you look a the previous december tests at durban bad light always can cause problems in the morning and early in the afternoon.

The pitch will need to be extremely lively to get us a result.

looks like play will be very punctuated. with that much rain and cloud about, bad light is gonna cause a severe shortage of play. dunno even whether to bother getting up early as looks particularly bleak early on. i spose the draw price is being held up by good bowling conditions. seems good value at this stage. might be a bit of a crash later.

Oh dear, you really are in Grinch mode - the cup of good will certainly passing YOU by this Xmas.

The 10.37 on Xmas eve was 12.37 SA time, which would have been at lunch time. What was posted was someone saying that play would have been unlikely that day. The previous day he said they were unlikely to have played after 3pm SA time. Its not exactly top secret info and as it turned out was prescient given the poor light that hit after tea

Im sorry if it doesnt fit in with you Humbug mode - but get over yerself ffs :0

Errr and we did stop earler today, about half hour after tea

As for subtle ramping, yeah, my observation about weather in Durban really going to make a huge difference on a 2million market :0

so you're happy to post "kudos to bumble", when in fact - bad light after tea was always a given. your C+P of bumble's twittering earlier in the week, that play during the earlier part of the day would not have been possible because of light did not come to pass yesterday [it may still do later in the game], and pointing this out makes me a subject for some bystander psycho-babble! if bumble wanted his tweets on a weather thread presumably he could have posted them here? he chose twitter instead, which I beleieve you also use, so it looked a bit obvious to drag his tweets from there to here. I previously thought this was a bit lame, but now you're reacting so stroppily to having it pointed out that it looks as if you're actually bothered about it!!

just chill. you backed the draw pregame, and wanted to keep the weather in people's minds. don't get annoyed with me for knowing what you were doing.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! :) see?

Bumble not happy with light again today :0

weather very ordinary again ...would be bad light if playing today

The two offending posts. As they were pretty relevant to the game ahead, I posted them, with source, so people could make up their own mind. As it happened the tweet on the 23rd proved quite relevant, and the suggestion that light was poor all day under cloud on Xmas Eve could turn out to be relevant today

A lot more relevant than general whinging and moaning! But as someone said to me, arguing with you is a pointless task these days, and I wont be dragged in any further - but if I see something I deem relevant I will post it - however much it upsets you - sorry :0
