A bit w.anky imo. You're just setting yourself up for a fall. No one was more happy than me to see us win the ashes this year and in 2005. But have you all forgotten 2006/7. And anyway, if you're English you should be above all that b.ollox. If your excuse is that they would do the same then fk that too. Don't sink to their level. As I've already said, most aussies i've spoken too (and read or heard on media) have taken it on the chin and not moaned about us being lucky etc. They're a decent team despite losing so many top notch players. And they still, as ever, make the most of what they have got. I actually want them to beat the pakistanis, cos I hate the pakistanis even more than I do aussies.

2006/2007 season was a great one for england. we won the tri nations 50 over tournament by thrashing the hosts 2-0 in the final.

I have to admit, ashes aside, Australia have had an excellent rest of 2009 :0

I would simply observe that I harbour grave doubts that the OP is, in fact, an Englishman. If so, he is the only one I have ever met who would refer to himself as a "Pom", when everybody knows that the true "Poms" are the inmates of HMP Australia.

OP can't, GR

Where's the error, Lies?

Maf, I've long since given up paying attention to what kiddie-fiddler Peter "Spanky" Roebuck has to say on any matter :|

lol Grim. You have met me. I just think all this aussie baiting reflects badly on us.

Have I, by George? When was that then?
Report mafeking December 27, 2009 9:52 PM GMT
we hold the ashes and that's a rare enough occurrence - only around 20 of the last 80 years - and cos of the way the series are scheduled almost before we've finished the open top bus ride is over we're off to the gabba to defend them. plenty of gloating required while we can imo.
Report cdog December 27, 2009 9:56 PM GMT
The Gabba would be a good place to register our 100th test match win against the Australians.
Report positively4thsteet December 27, 2009 11:41 PM GMT
Drink up at Chando's a few years back Grim. I am English I can assure you.
