Might as well go for an (almost) clean sweep.

I still think this will be a draw, but happily I am in good shape, as long as England don't win. Suprising, having played the first 2 days like a window-licking Australian wannabe all-rounder :^0

Not sure my blood pressure would survive another Cardiff (and Jimmy bat all day?)

I still think it's pretty hard to dislodge batsmen who are willing to graft. KP, Prior, take note :)

All depends on what happens in the morning session.

For me if there is no rain SA will win, don't think that our batsman have the patience required to graft an innings (With the exception of Cook & Colly)

We did see out the last day at Cardiff when starting 2 down, but of course that was a belter, so it will be a case of how we apply ourselves and how the pitch behaves.

why draw fav could anyone tell me thanks
By:
GrimReaper
When: 19 Dec 09 19:36
Because it's still quite a flat pitch (imo) although odd balls are misbehaving. Concerns over the potency of SA's attack, and some residual concerns over late afternoon weather.

FWIW, I think the the draw could drop quite quickly if SA don't break through early.

draw is fav ONLY because of rain threat which won't materialise IMO

SA odds against is the bet for sure
By:

Respectfully disagree, Peej, though my book doesn't care what the outcome is. I think it's going to be a hard graft to take 9 wickets on this deck.

so what your telling me, if it rains its a draw, because the game can't finsh on the last day, is that right.
By:

When: 19 Dec 09 19:40
Yes, sports, but I wouldn't hold too much store by the rain reports...if it comes, it is likely to be in the last session.

Don't take offence, but if you need to ask the question, I don't think you should be trading cricket....good luck though :)

17 results in a row in SA lads, that's because pitches break up fast here and are spicyish to begin with. On this surface you're simply never in, even Amla edged a few in the 80's and 90's. If your number's up tough **, not the ideal survival surface, but not a minefield either.

There are 16 overs with the new ball late in the day to keep the hopes of a result alive I suppose. But this is a draw imo, whether or not there are 90 overs. England won't want to be risking a loss to give themselves a winning shot and I don't see the Saffers forcig 9 wickets unless most of those are gifted away. You can never discount that possibility of course but England seem to be playing with good purpose at present, so should be trusted to do the job here.

errrrrrrrrr............ Strauss gone, Cook (walking wicket), KP (unable to play safe and out of nick big time), Colly (top chap for these occasions), Bell (ender), Prior (brainless), ...... I could go on.................. 70 overs tomorrow and SA win easily :|

You didn't mention the England premier bat Anderson there Ted. ;)

I'd be pretty disappointed if England couldn't see out 90 overs here against this attack, barring a string of shooters claiming wickets.
