dont SA have a slightly carp record in the 1st test of a home series? I can remember Eng, WI,India, Aus all winning the 1st test in recent series'. Will do some more research.....

Groundsman on SSN suggests pitch might not be as green as it looks, either way I don't think the toss will have a massive bearing on things tmrw. I like Eng price too, cbl are laying the betfair price on England today

cheers mafe, missed that, I think laying SA @ 2.2 now then let it run if they bat first and if they don't go level red SA and the Draw and hope Eng don't get anniahialted looks a fair way to go.

I'm sick to death with ramping curators/in-the-know commentators/press/misinfo prior to Tests nowadays. People betting on that info without seeing a ball bowled need their heads examined, though I do like the look of the Saf price from am opposing pov :)

Very wise words Ted. So many pitch assessments are shown to be wrong, and often not just slightly wrong but 100% completely and totally misleading.

cant understand this price....understand that saffers always had the edge in the one dayers ..but messed it up at vital moments ....but on the other side the english hv been performing quite well (last ashes series )....expected saffer to be the favourites here...but not at 2.22 ....anyways...my bet is to lay saffer at this ridiculously low odds ..and back them when they trade around 3 ish ....green on all the three is the motto ...cheersss
