Very pleasing GALS to have waken up to this :) Got a nice result on Pak
|
By:
good 4th day for both of us phil
but what do we do now? |
By:
Draw should drift IMO with the f/c good. Pak should be fav ?
|
By:
what wasthe pitch like?
If you had to put these threein order to describe 147/8 Good bowling bad batting detiorating pitch |
By:
plus NZ are effectively 147/9 with their number 11
|
By:
Pitch looked difficult to bat on. Taylor was playing balls from a straight around his adams apple. Only did up to lunch mind.
This scenario reminds of me England / Pak at Headingley last tour. Should be good final day but don't fancy the draw at all. |
By:
The weather was good for bowling and Pak made the most of it. Should be a sunny day tomorrow.
|
By:
Cheers JF
have followed my 34s back of Pak with a lay of 2.9 the draw |
By:
The ball was swinging with the overhead conditions. The forecast has it sunny tomorrow so NZ won't have these overhead conditions. I think the draw should drift until the start of play but will drop at the start of play until Pak finish them off.

Full weather report here. Looking good.
http://tvnz.co.nz/content/1497662/video_popup_windows_skin Eventually turned into a very good night for me with my only red a small one on NZ but like you guys trying to work out what to do from here. Very tempted to dump my green draw as it was mainly a weather green. I really want to hang onto my big PAK green but you never know which PAK team is going to turn up and I'm not convinced by their top order... |
By:
Yeah trying to figure this out. Pak can't be favs until they finish the blackcaps off. 40-50 will hurt them and see them drif considerably. Quick wickets and they could be sub evens with a couple of early boundaries. Will have to see
|
By:
NZ +1
Pak +4 Draw -2 |
By:
JF surely you've also got to take into account the likelihood of O'brien and Martin hanging around. They're both shocking batsmen and I can't see another 20 being added with those two around especially with a fresh Aamer in the morning. I can see them playing for time rather than runs although I would doubt the chances of success for each of those strategies.
|
By:
Could see 100 overs tomorrow. If they take an hour out of the game and score 30 runs. Will see RRR of 3.3ish. Should be chaseable
|
By:
Not sure about NZ being 2.6x.
|
By:
pakistan have to be the value here
i cant bring myself to lay off at that price they might only be chasing 260 odd in 90 overs |
By:
Fascinating day's play ahead. Bound to be prices out of line. I will no doubt get in a right old mess :|
|
By:
tempted to leave my book JF
I have a ridiculous green on Pak |
By:
Thinking the same D13.
|
By:
I'm leaving my Pak green. I'm convinced they go odds on here
|
By:
It really is a conundrum.
Am currently -12 pts NZ +10 pts draw + 10 points Pak For some reason I took some draw this morning. Finally the right right of the market, just. Wish I'd followed my instincts and taken more of NZ @ 4 last night when they lost the two early wickets. As for what to do now I haven't got a clue. At least we will have the luxury of watching the tail of the NZ innings to see what the ball is doing. |
By:
But we might only see two balls :D
My only take on it at the moment is NZ too short at 2.6x but I've not plucked up the courage to lay them further at 2.64. I'm -4 NZ +18 Pak +3 draw |
By:
The two wickets the key. The result options are either for me
NZ/Draw NZ/Pak NZ in both. But the two remaining wickets will determine who becomes fav either the Pak or draw. I don't think NZ can get any lower. Thoughts ? |
By:
O'Brien's blog is up.
http://iainobrien.co.nz/node/179 I think he's a carp bowler but you've got to love his honesty in these blogs. Martin bowling in pain. Normal? Guptill having impaired vision when he came out to bat? wtf |
By:
intersting comments about the light
thanks for that ernesto |
By:
How many overs did we get day 1 ?
|
By:
There was a suggestion last night on the radio over the non referral decale that there was a lack of decisive leadership in the kiwi dressing room as Vettori had too much on his plate.
I'm astonished at Guptill being allowed to practice on the bowling machine without a helmet and then face the new ball with impaired vision |
By:
I wouldn't like to have a nasty red under Pak currently. Would expect to see lumpy reversals
|
By:
90 overs on day 1
|
By:
Ta. That's okay then
|
By:
andy moles said there were big problems in the NZ dressing room
|
By:
The good thing about this test: after the all night boys have had the courage to turn their machines off and the local inbreds have stopped backing the jolly at silly prices, we can come in and correct the prices and thus get a nice trade out of it :)
|
By:
The best thing about this test is going into day 5 and all 4 results are possible
|
By:
Have greened up on the draw. Still think it could be a player.
I don't trust the NZ weather and every chance Pak will get into troubled waters causing confusion in their ranks. Confusion = blocking. I reckon draw will go odds on but NZ to win..I think. |
By:
what's the best way of trading day 5 when you're on the tee at 8.00am?
Before I went out on the ale with some chums last night I levelled my book, disposing of all but a few hundred quid on Pak, came home pished and backed the draw :_| Almost unbelieveably I have a small all green position but am tempted to just lay the draw and see how she flys :| |
By:
if the weather forecasts are right i dont see how the draw is not the outsider of the 3 results
|
By:
possible rain within the next 3 hours!
|
By:
you said that it was raining last night when they first came out to bat how many hours was it before it did rain, change the record ramper
|
By:
you have to watch the weather in nz though
comes from nowhere wouldn't go bawdeep at all |
