I am Canadian, I don't know any of the rules of cricket or how the game is played. I was wondering if somebody could give me a brief explanation.

In the match b/w Australia and West Indies, I am considering betting on the 1st Test match odds.

1) What exactly is a test match?
2) How long does one of these matches take, 1 day, or is it played over several days?
3) What is the difference between a "Draw" and a "Tie"?
I noticed that the odds of a Tie are 100, but the odds of a draw are 6.4? In american english draw and tie are usually the same thing, what is the distinction here?

Thanks for all your help.

surely a wind-up!

wikipedia or a good book from your local library will be far more forthcoming than such a question I;m afraid to say

a) coz all you'll get is stupid answers
b) it takes a long time to explain

Test match is an interntional match played over 5 days
Draw no result achieved after 5 days play
Tie Scores level at the coclusion of match after 5 days

Hope this helps
