Report lippy November 25, 2009 2:44 AM GMT
yep just because they started at 12 dosent mean they can come out at 10am and make it up , although they should
Report lippy November 25, 2009 2:44 AM GMT
Wheres the 2.60 :-(
Report Innocent Bystander November 25, 2009 2:45 AM GMT
Wow we have the Dilmah tea party - never seen it before

Looked very wet

Report Innocent Bystander November 25, 2009 2:46 AM GMT
How many boxes of tea on that table :0
Report STEPTOES YARD November 25, 2009 2:46 AM GMT
Do you think the market has assumed it done for day ?

Thought draw might be touch lower
Report lippy November 25, 2009 2:46 AM GMT
lol it not a very good party , but just now they showed the outside pics and i was pouring down.

I wouldnt predict a full day tomorrow , forecasters clearly useless IB excepted
Report Innocent Bystander November 25, 2009 2:47 AM GMT
I think its so thin it wont go anywhere til play is done. Then expect some book squaring to shake it up
Report Innocent Bystander November 25, 2009 2:47 AM GMT
I think tomorrow may be ok - but days 4 and 5 are not so clear atm
Report STEPTOES YARD November 25, 2009 2:47 AM GMT
where do you see it finishing ib ?

1.65 ?
Report lippy November 25, 2009 2:47 AM GMT
I dont think market has finished moving. There will be some panic when the great unwashed arise from their slumber.

Who is going to want to be red on the draw overnight with such unpredictable weather about?
Report Borrowed Time November 25, 2009 2:48 AM GMT
Wonder wot flayour the penguins like ... PG tips ?
Report Innocent Bystander November 25, 2009 2:49 AM GMT
if the draw ends 1.65 it will put nz around 2.8 whereas i wouldnt have them anything shorter than 3's

So probably 1.5x high is my mug estimate - remember a lot of money backed kiwis going into today, either the backers will hold it or look to dump it later today
Report lippy November 25, 2009 2:49 AM GMT
And even if they do play tomorrow it will just be bond and the tailenders plodding along using up valuable time
Report lippy November 25, 2009 2:51 AM GMT
lay side already at 100% and only thing looking wrongly priced is the kiwi price
Report lippy November 25, 2009 2:52 AM GMT
does the aussie test start tomorrow?
Report Lix November 25, 2009 2:52 AM GMT
Done my bank laying NZ/ backing the draw here. This better drift overnight or I'm fecked!
Report Innocent Bystander November 25, 2009 2:52 AM GMT
sounds like its really chugging down behind the DIlmah boys - either that or interference on the line
Report STEPTOES YARD November 25, 2009 2:52 AM GMT

Report STEPTOES YARD November 25, 2009 2:54 AM GMT
Be careful in such a shallow market lix

You might be stuck with it till tomorrow
Report Innocent Bystander November 25, 2009 2:54 AM GMT
should be able to dump it overnight if you want - market fills in a bit during the day
Report lippy November 25, 2009 2:55 AM GMT

Report Lix November 25, 2009 2:58 AM GMT
This shallow market has provided some deep value on the draw!

be amazed if NZ are less than 2.74 come 10pm tomo.
Report RockMonkey November 25, 2009 3:00 AM GMT
Could they not start 2 hours early tomorrow as they are starting 2 hours late to begin with?

Why do i always make more money weather trading than trading cricket?

Betfair should have live inplay weather trading imo
Could have daily markets on rain landing on the london weather centre etc

You can tell Pak aint gonna be up for this little period. They were mentally finished for the day.
Report lippy November 25, 2009 4:49 AM GMT
We all were :-(
Report lippy November 25, 2009 4:52 AM GMT
I had greened up for the day , then left an opportunistic lay up at 2.60

Someone chomped it when they realised they coming back.
I have a feeling though it may prove to be good value for me.
Can see it being higher tonight
Report Lix November 25, 2009 4:54 AM GMT
this could be a match winning session for NZ I fear. could add a quick 50 runs here and take the game away from pak.

Report lippy November 25, 2009 5:05 AM GMT
it his own fault , kiwis trying to ** by plauying in unplayable conditions. Pakistanis were right to feel hard done by at coming out in that , It not a 20 20 ffs
Report Lix November 25, 2009 5:18 AM GMT
ok, just thinking about it. still really like the draw here . say we start 1/2 hr earlier tomo. means pak will wrap up the NZ tail for another 20-25 runs. As long as Pak can bat the day and score around 250 the draw should go below 1.5. cant fully trust this Pak batting line up but as long as its not too chilly they should go ok.

Did the rain arrive today as forcast?

What are the most reliable sites when it comes to NZ weather?

Cheers.
Report Ernesto November 25, 2009 11:31 AM GMT
it arrived much earlier MK just after lunch.

Google Dunedin weather and it's the one at the top.

This particular page updates the rain every hour and gave a good indication that rain was on the way

Whatever happened to 'Green with Envy' and his weather reports from six high tech top secret satellites?
Report Richard LL November 25, 2009 12:07 PM GMT
are WCE, GWE and Forum reader not the same person?
Report Keithiopian2003 November 25, 2009 12:21 PM GMT
Not sure. I don't use the forums that often. I just seem to remember GWE and top secret satellites whenever a test is threatened by weather.
Report Innocent Bystander November 25, 2009 1:15 PM GMT
I hear the secret services 'moved him on' for revealing the existence of the top secret satellites. Still, I hear the M6 bypass is a nice place to spend the rest of your life embedded in concrete :0

had a look there at day 3. Weather seems much better as long as there are no light issues.

In the Ian O'Brien blog he mentioned that a considerable amount of rain fell on the wicket when they were out last night and that he thinks the wicket could be lively. Quick 20-30 runs and then steam into the pakistan top order.

Think this match is all about how much Pakistan want to be there now. As I write draw now 1.58/1.65 :(
Report TwoTonTed November 25, 2009 4:32 PM GMT
[i]Rain interrupted the day quite a bit and because of it we only got through 36 overs. Batting four sessions was our first goal and weve got there, reached 400 and are happy with what weve achieved so far. There was a fair amount of rain too while we were still out there playing, so if things happen like they should it could be quite tough to bat on first thing up in the morning. So whatever happens, it should be very interesting viewing. Not like that
Report Lix November 25, 2009 4:58 PM GMT
Greening up on the NZ lay at 2.9 now. weather looks good for a full days play today. Think the games moves on apace later .

Bond and Co to take early Pak wkts, Moyo and malik to help em past the follow on target.
Report Lix November 25, 2009 5:03 PM GMT
cant resist some pak at 38.0. should get rid of the tail quickly. More than capable of getting within 50 of NZs score and bowling em out for 220-240 2nd dig.
