Good bet with Liang, but overall poor reasoning as usual. Good luck.

thanks for the insight JB. Cheers for a bit of fun BJ, will be wading in after lunch with a few rupees myself
|
By:
good luck bj do you buy and sell during the event and do you make any cash?
|
By:
hi nigel... made some nice rupees this year courtesy of 200/1 and 400/1 winners ..i look to lay off in running but only if one of my picks trades around a 10th of their original price :)
|
By:
thanks bj itry to trade in the last 2 rounds on what i think is good value very low risk generally gets profit wish vol of money traded more

i do agree with you on Cabello but have not backed him. the best outsider this week has to be McGowan. should have won in Dubai last year but bottled it but has won this year when i backed him at a very tasty 65-1 :)
100-1 this week. no outsider will win this as Kaymer has already won it ! ;) |
By:
Liang + 2242.00
Cabrera-Bello + 2622.00 with you on these two good luck all |

Kaymer FTW.

good start from Liang :)
|
By:
Liang 5 under, C-Bello 2 under :0
|
By:
Gonzo going well too
|

Liang was the one that looked good, i'd get out of the other three now and let the Liang bet ride for a day or two more. Could lock in some tasty profit.

Well done crunchy :)
Update after round 1 ... satisfactory start :) .. but it promised so much more during early play :( Anderson Hanson finishes +1 .... got it all to do now :( . but no cut in this event and so he has 3 full rounds to make up the ground and i have not given up on him yet :) Cabrera-Bello got it to -4 at one stage, but bad finish sees him finish -1, tied 22nd, well in the hunt if he can post a decent score tomorrow. Gonzo-Castano shoots a steady -2 and tied 14th , another steady round tomorrow could see him get into the mix :) Best of he day for me was Wen Chong Liang :0 .. he leading at -5 at one stage, but finished -4, tied 5th and very much in contention ;) Bookwise, i could have layed some off on liang at 32s and cabrera-bello at 40s, but decided to let it run :( they much bigger prices now so i will continue to let it run... but i have made one tiny trade...i have layed liang for 2 quid at 85.0...and used this 2 quid to top up my green on anders hanson at 410.0 :0 Latest bets and updated book therefore is: Wen-Chong Liang 85 £2.00 £170.00 £168.00 Ref: 9477295729 Bet placed: 14:54 19-Nov-09 Anders Hansen 410 £2.00 £818.00 Ref: 9477315949 Bet placed: 14:56 19-Nov-09 hansen + 1691.00 liang + 2080.50 gonzo + 1672.00 c-bello +2622.00 Rest -40 :( Further update to follow after tomorrows 2nd round :) |

Ok , had a rethink and have decided to tinker a little more with my book :) .. have layed off another £5 on liang at 80.0 .and used this fiver to bring the promising english youngster Chris Wood onside at 24.0.
Wood is -6 and only 1 off the lead .i think 24.0 represents value. upshot is that i still have 1.7 k green on liang ... but now i also have a small green on one of the leaders ;) Latest bets and updated book is: Wen-Chong Liang 80 £5.00 £400.00 £395.00 Ref: 9477729011 Bet placed: 15:31 19-Nov-09 Chris Wood 24 £5.00 £115.00 Ref: 9477741611 Bet placed: 15:32 19-Nov-09 Wood +76.00 Liang +1700.50 Hansen +1691.00 Gonzo + 1672.00 C-Bello + 2622.00 Rest -40 :( Happy to leave it lke that and see how things stand after 2nd round :) Good Luck :) |

:( yep i see wht you mean now .. wood plays like a log :( so not the best move by me :(
Never mind, still not a bad day ... cabrera-bello shoots a lovely round to get into contention bigtime for the weekend at -6 and only 3 off the lead....only one off second place :0 .... and liang also in the mix t -6 ;) Both are still too big prices to lay off anything substancial, but i will be tinkering a little with my book once the market settles down later :) |
By:
Ok tht was quick....i have one the tinkering :)
Have lyed bello for 10 quid t 65.0 and used his tenner to even up my green on liang and bello by hving a fiver on ling t 65.0 .. and used the other fiver to bring oosthuizon onside t 25.0 :) I could have layed off my 40 quid stakes on ling nd bello .. but i am not desperte for 40 quid so hppy to let my liability ride :) Latest bets and book is: Rafael Cabrera-Bello 65 £10.00 £650.00 £640.00 Ref: 9483089626 Bet placed: 13:47 20-Nov-09 Wen-Chong Liang 65 £5.00 £320.00 Ref: 9483096633 Bet matched:13:48 20-Nov-09 Louis Oosthuizen 25 £5.00 £120.00 Ref: 9483100719 Bet placed: 13:48 20-Nov-09 Oosthuizen +80.75 C-Bello + 2004.50 Liang + 2009.25 Wood +76.00 Hansen +1691.00 Gonzo +1672.00 Rest -40 :( Happy to leave it like that and see how things stand after the 3rd ound :) |

They say saturday is moving day....my ones moved ok ... downwards :( I wont into the gory detiails :( ... but with westwood leading at -15...and best of my lot at -8 .. its going to need one of mine to shoot a miracle round and hope that the leaders get blown away by the desert winds :( Once again a great call on Mcgowan maschranus...pity you were not on mate :( |
By:
Cheers BJ, I was all green anyway having layed the 2 at 60's so no harm done. On and off to better things next time :)
|

a losing streak to the season :( .... but overall an excellent year, nice profit made :)
not long to wait for next season...all starts again in 18 days time in south africa ... hopefully the short break will change my luck and the next mega priced winner is not far off :) |

Good luck for next season BJ.

Ignore him callsboy :)
Ok.. looks like i will having a little flutter afterall this week :D Though main tounaments are finished till 10th December, this week we have the Omega world cup in China.. and next week its the 12 man nedbank challenge in South Africa. I wont be bothering with the nedbank as there wont be any mega prices available in a 12 man field :( .. but for this weeks world cup, there are some decent, if not mega value prices to be had. I like the format, 2 man teams, alternating between 4 and 2 ball formats on the 4 days :) I will let the market develop and post my fab 4 for this event sometime tomorrow morning :D Good luck :) |
