got 2 wickets this over already - what u complaining about?
Report JimmyK November 15, 2009 11:51 AM GMT
he is a horrific cricketer in my opinion.

most tellingly, he is very arrogant and has no appreciation of his actual ability. little humility and a very big big time charlie!
Report purpleqwirky November 15, 2009 11:51 AM GMT
well we *all* knew, only the selectors who thought he was any good.

hopefully the saffers will completely destroy him and he will never play again, anywhere, ever, again!
Report ArbitrageIsFun November 15, 2009 11:53 AM GMT
Good thought. Let's hope they let him bowl the full four overs, go for 50 wicketless runs and we never ever have to see him again.
Report mittheimp November 15, 2009 11:53 AM GMT
how do you know he is arrogant?
Report No Hogs Raj November 15, 2009 11:54 AM GMT
I have not posted for 2 to 3 years....my last post was that this guy is the worst cricketer I have ever seen .... would not get a game for Tassie 2nd XI (and that is serious) .... nothing has changed and reflects why england is so appalling.
Report chumptastic November 15, 2009 11:54 AM GMT
duncan fletcher and andy flower, two successive coaches who have both won the ashes and know quite a bit about the game both think enough of Sarj to pick him as soon as he's fully fit.

but of course you clowns know more about the game than them?

let me guess, you all think capello's a fool for picking heskey as well?
Report mafeking November 15, 2009 11:54 AM GMT
i guess they wanted pace in the absence of fred and harmy. would help if they actually watched him bowl for lanky first.
Report stephaniebot November 15, 2009 11:55 AM GMT
given the team I think he has to bowl 4 overs, and so does Wright! Has 300 ever been scored in 20 overs?
Report oddduck November 15, 2009 11:57 AM GMT
can bowl express pace which is enough to get wickets at county level, but in this form he gets creamed all over the shop
Report No Hogs Raj November 15, 2009 12:07 PM GMT
Great over ... only 13 off
Report chumptastic November 15, 2009 12:16 PM GMT
no hogs raj, maybe you should've sent the tassie 2nd XI to defend the ashes this year.
or maybe you should just have kept the criminal, alcoholic tassie captain of your criminal, alcoholic nation at home.

think we all know that politics are the real reason
Report Live Forever November 15, 2009 12:47 PM GMT
How are 'politics' the reason?

Given that England have picked, dropped, treated well, treated harshly, dozens of Asian players.

Yet another race warrior without he slightest idea about what is coming from his pea sized brain.

Stick to the BNP forum
Report sunshine1 November 15, 2009 12:51 PM GMT
Coz Mahmood is related to Amir Khan, who knew a bloke at the Reebok that used to train the dog Sam Allerdyce bought off of Geoff Miller to do agility. It's a funny old world, but it's true.
Report No Hogs Raj November 15, 2009 12:53 PM GMT

Report sunshine1 November 15, 2009 12:55 PM GMT

ROFL.

Why don't you use your big brain to detail the history of the English cricket team, Asian players and the political conspiracy that is in place.

You know, with actual evidence or statistics, rather than just the 'd1ckhead in a pub' theory that amounts to nothing more than a one word catchphrases.

Go on brainy, we are all ears.

Cos at the moment you are sounding more Nick Griffin than Albert Einstein.
Report martinmonty November 15, 2009 1:12 PM GMT
ok then prof. plum you tell me why he has been picked? he is terd has been all his career and is back in the team;

explain.....
Report Live Forever November 15, 2009 1:13 PM GMT
I'm not defending him being picked, dummy.

I think he is awful.

However, you are the clown saying that there is a political conspiracy in place to pick him. I'm asking you why their would be and what ground you have for saying that, taking into account the historic selection policy of the England National team.

Now, come on, have another go, cos you aren't doing very well so far.

Or you could just shut up and save yourself looking even more stupid
Report purpleqwirky November 15, 2009 1:16 PM GMT
anyone that says ROFL clearly doesnt have much between their ears.
Report Live Forever November 15, 2009 1:17 PM GMT

Report martinmonty November 15, 2009 1:22 PM GMT
blimey mate (clearly you are not my mate its an expression) u don't give up do you. stop harping on about the history of the england team that misses my point. just because something did nt happen in the past does not prevent it from happening in the future. you are basically saying that as england have...not pick/treated asian players badly in the past... this means that my theory is wrong. however in the past the PC bandwagon was not in full swing as i and some others may believe it to be now. i maybe and hope i am wrong but your old times argument hold no weight.

sorry i cant list hundreds of facts for you but my point stands and if you don't understand it you are not as clever as you are trying to look.
Report JimmyK November 15, 2009 1:22 PM GMT
I know of many people in the game and many people who have played against him.

He is arrogant and for some reason thinks he is far better than he is. This is in some ways why the opposition love him playing, they like rubbing it into him.
Report No Hogs Raj November 15, 2009 1:23 PM GMT
I think everyone (except Chump) that has posted agrees he is not up to international standard -got nothing to do with anything but his (lack of) ability
Report Live Forever November 15, 2009 1:24 PM GMT
Care to explain why Ravi Bopara and Owais Shah were dropped recently then. Especially considering they both played quality innings (esp Shah) in the motnhs prior to being dropped?

How's that fit in with your conspiracy?

How about the constant selection of rubbish players that aren't Asian?

I'll leave it there as I know you haven't got the answers. Good day.
Report mittheimp November 15, 2009 1:25 PM GMT

your point is crap though.. based on nothing but the bitter paranoia of another bitter pub bore. why dont you finish reading the mail on sunday instead of posting utter tosh on here that you cant substantiate with anything?

Mahmood sitting on the bench laughing, I am sorry but he has no talent whatsoever been given chances I don't know why and then the camera comes over to him laughing like an idiot, almost got hit for world record in 20-20 today only beaten in the amount of runs he's given away by two part time bowlers. Useless like i mentioned in another thread I geniunely feel that if you asked me to concentrate and try I could bowl better than he has alot of times for england.
Report chumptastic November 15, 2009 1:35 PM GMT
i never said i thought sarj was upto the job, personally i dont think he is.

what i said is that people should trust the judgement of men like fletcher and flower.

you all lined up to criticise the selection of trott at the oval, two months ago colly wasn't fit to lace an international cricketer's boots, less than a year ago it was jimmy anderson and now it's sarj.

he's a young man making his way in the game, it's a shame that such a bunch of keyboard warriors have to get on his case.
Report No Hogs Raj November 15, 2009 1:42 PM GMT
So it's unanimous then - evryone now thinks he's **e

End of thread

See you in another 2 years when he's picked as captain for the ashes down under
Report RacingCert November 15, 2009 5:01 PM GMT
Not sure I'd say Anderson or Broad were international standard when they started.

The thing about Saj for me is the economy and power of his action. reckon he has bags of potential given the coaching and opportunities.
Report timmy2988 November 15, 2009 5:18 PM GMT
Could have been persisted with at test level imo. Took 4-22 or something like that when they bowled out Pakistan on the last day at Headingley. Also took a 4 for against Oz over there.

Flintoff hated him though and what Freddie wants, Freddie gets.

In the shorter form of the game, Sarj is gash though.
Report Carlos Valderrama's Hair November 15, 2009 5:59 PM GMT
What was is the issue with Flintoff and Mahmood?
Report timmy2988 November 15, 2009 8:00 PM GMT
Mahmood injured Freddie in the Lancs nets years ago. Apparently Flintoff has held a grudge since.
