Looks like Colly and Anderson out for tomorrows game.
Trott @ 5/1 for top Eng bat seems a good place to start.

this chase was dead from the moment cook and denly trotted out to play
Report Ernesto November 15, 2009 2:05 PM GMT
How the feck Morgan is not out there is beyond me.

They're trying to win this as much as those greek feckers who just threw their match away.

How can you play international sport as "practice"

Report Lix November 15, 2009 2:06 PM GMT
Cook is captain. He obviously 'backed himself' to do well. we all knew it wouldn't work but the game was over at HT anyway. Actually it was pretty much game over after about 8 overs.
Report Green Beard November 15, 2009 2:06 PM GMT
really needed wright and pietersen to open, morgan at 3, trott at 4

cook at 11
Report RockMonkey November 15, 2009 2:06 PM GMT
Best thing Pietersen can do now to be honest is make sure he bats out the overs for a bit of much needed practice
Report Mushtaq November 15, 2009 2:06 PM GMT
No problem with them not really trying to win from here. The disgrace was that they weren't making a serious attempt at the start.
Report Green Beard November 15, 2009 2:07 PM GMT
only 67 runs ahead at this stage, but remember, saffers collapsed at the end

When all but two of the batsmen have been "born and brought up in SA" and have faced 95% of balls faced (and one of the non Saffers is Alistair Cook) it's not really surprising, is it?

Report STEPTOES YARD November 15, 2009 2:26 PM GMT
Im not saying everything is perfect for England but they made 200+
two days ago and won.

They smashed 323 against SA in CT and won.

Both wins were down to coll and morgan and shah in CT.

They have lost today because bowling has been sh1te not because of english batsman nasser

the saffer lads are only in because the english guys on the county circuit aren't good enough

simple really

there is no hunger or competition to play county cricket in our country

the saffer system is built on drive, determination and success.

the english system is built on the old boys network.
Report STEPTOES YARD November 15, 2009 2:31 PM GMT
Lets remember lads that weve drawn yes drawn this series 1-1

We beat SA in CT here and also beat them 4-0 at home before them.

Nasser and Knight being too hard on England here.

Especially harsh on batsman.

England on course for around 165 which is 5 more than veritys 160 par score
