What am I bid for this unconventional powerhouse? Who's going to start me at 1.2 million?

Do you lot only jump on bandwagons when they arent playing for England? ;)

you know the routine IB, support a domestic player who does well domestically, until the frenzy makes the selectors pick him, when it becomes clear he is just not good enough, turn on him and wonder what hes doing there and pick another domestic player to come in

Great to see Morgan doing so well. Really has turned out a class act. There was a thread about him a few months back and most on here wrote him off.

I knew he was better than the current crop of England youngsters/jokers and that he'd show it if he got the chance. Twice he's smacked the number one side in the world around the park. Can take his time too if needed as he showed in the match against the Lankans.

I'm glad England havent f*cked up his international career as they did with Joyce. This looked like it could have been the case after he was dropped after 1 T20 match against Holland.

Will definitely be in the test side soon.

Think he will need to improve his domestic 4 day form to be considered for the test squad, but he's cemented a place in a one day batting line up which (whisper it) is starting to look relatively solid (give it 6 months)

Strauss
Denley
KP
Trott
Collingwood
Morgan

(may put Trott to open in place of Denley dependent on balance of the side)

At least England (after 20 years) look to have got a plan :0

have to say i've never seen him do these things playing for Middx.

How old is he? A good ODI series vs SA and he can name his price for the IPL. They seem to like flavour of the month types.

who'll go for more? Pollard or morgan?
Report Innocent Bystander November 13, 2009 8:15 PM GMT
He's only 24 - seems to have been around for 10 years :0
Report timmy2988 November 13, 2009 8:15 PM GMT
Just turned 23.
Report Innocent Bystander November 13, 2009 8:16 PM GMT
blimey, younger than I thought - has he got a Pakistani passport? ;)
Report timmy2988 November 13, 2009 8:17 PM GMT
One of the youngest people to reach 50 in a 20-20 match I think. Was 18 at the time. Has broken all records for Ireland.

His 4 day form was solid until this season.

hopefully this be the end of bopara

with morgan it is all timing and wrists (small bloke that uses pace of ball), but stil amusing to hear commentators insist over and over gain its power.
Report Green Beard November 13, 2009 9:15 PM GMT
depends who bids for him first and how high they go, and then it all depends on whos got the biggest ego :|

there is no player in world cricket that can send scoop a delivery for six as well as Em - fact

Report Mellor November 13, 2009 9:51 PM GMT
fact is - it was Ireland not England that won the match.

Extraordinary innings from EM - even the comms were questioning he scored at 12 an over.......
Report mafeking November 13, 2009 10:18 PM GMT
yep brenty. should have won 2 world cups (fat gatt :_| ) and we always seemed to win texaco games at home in those days.
