SA appear to have named their side already. Kallis being rested which is a bit of a loss as he loves batting here.

South Africa 1 Graeme Smith (capt), 2 Loots Bosman, 3 AB de Villiers, 4 JP Duminy, 5 Albie Morkel, 6 Mark Boucher (wk), 7 Ryan McLaren, 8 Roelof van der Merwe, 9 Johan Botha, 10 Dale Steyn, 11 Charl Langeveldt.

England (possible) 1 Joe Denly, 2 Alastair Cook, 3 Jonathan Trott, 4 Paul Collingwood (capt), 5 Eoin Morgan, 6 Matt Prior (wk), 7 Luke Wright, 8 Tim Bresnan, 9 Graeme Swann, 10 Sajid Mahmood, 11 James Anderson

Big big chance of showers tomo. no guarantee we get a game in imo which is a shame as I've been looking forward to this all week. SA short but look a much stronger side all round. 1.52 is a mugs price though for a T20 pre match.

The weather is a huge part of cricket betting

Especially test cricket.

You just hit on the root of the problem. For test matches they are so long weather is something that can be factored in. In 20/20 it has such a devastating and rapid impact it should void the match for betting purposes IMO.

How much you stuck for Informa :( ?

Game should be officially called OFF.

They (saffers) had the chance and did not take it, move along. Not at all fair if they return for say one over.

Rain again now, outfield soaked as it is.

It is marychain but its part and parcel of cricket betting

Before you ever bet on cricket you need to bare the weather in mind. Not only concerning delays but also how when playing it will effect the conditions - swing under overcast conditions etc.

Weve all been on the wrong end of a few with the weather but not going to change

great bowling from anderson on final over, but should have been put to the sword

Report oitoitoi November 13, 2009 6:22 PM GMT
dont really think a win should have been awarded at this point, it seems pretty harsh, SA were still pretty well placed and it could have gone either way really, just furthers my belief that D&L doesn't work with T20, or 50 overs for that matter.
