So who will be sitting for the dead rubber. I suspect Aussie, given all they have been saying about tiredness, may look to sit the test players plus those who have been away for ever.

Wouldnt be a shock if Punter sits but no batsmen to cover him so may have to play, Watson may take a break and Hauritz may give Holland a debut

Could see a side like

Marsh
Ponting
Hussey
White
Voges
McDingo
Manou
Holland
Hilfy /**ley
Bolly
McKay

India were talking about resting Tendles when they had the series wrapped - wonder if they will do that now?

might as well play burt seeing as he's there..

it's a win-win for aussies here - won't be any consolation for the injuns if they win...but imagine if they lose...

on to the second point - definitely throw them away if they are anywhere near the use-by date

not worth the risk...

give Boony, Merv Hughes, Tim Nielsen, the physio, the doctor a go in the team

^ They would still probably win against this Indian team

always opposing aus as favs in dead rubbers - but this is the first time in a while that i can recall them being dogs for a dead rubber :0

There is no logic involved in Aussies being outsiders here.

They have outplayed them in every dept & no matter what team Ponting puts out, they are more than capable.

India are flat & Ponting will want a 5-2 marked on his bio.

Steam in to Aussie for all your worth imo.

Arthus C Clarke might know why India are favs but I cannot see it for the life of me??

India play better with the pressure off. Fancy em here.

India has potential squad of 500 million players( and they are ALL cricket mad in India ), Australia has potential squad of 10 million players ( and they play ALL different types of sport ) , so statistically following this logic , you'd think India could put together a team that would be consistantly better than Australia

done my nuts on India series victory when it was 2 each , can't believe how this series has panned out ... really disappointed with India's performance at Guwahati the other day ...27 for 5 FFS ...pathetic , lost alot of confidence from this series , so hard to call which way the dead rubber goes , certainly not investing in it either ... wouldn't be surprised to see another one way Oz victory ....

This whole 'India are cricket mad' thing is b ollocks imo or at least way overblown. Was in India for the 2006 test series in Nagpur and Mohali. Spoke to loads of locals who didnt even know there was a test on in Nagpur.

China do very well at the sports they specialise in.

(see olympic medals tables....)

good point lix .. think a hell of alot of indian kids are more interested in organising some chow rather than playing ckt .. sad but true ..

If Aus line-up anything similar to what IB has above, which is very possible, India are definitely value at these prices.

The clue is in the word "test".
If it had been a T20 they would've known all about it.

interesting to see how the 'completed match' market pans out ...what little money there is up at the mo,would seem to suggest that the game is likely not to be completed ....
