try the greenhouse coffee shop, make sure you check out jordaan, it's the nicest part of the city. If you're with friends try and hire a boat and wander round the canals, you won't regret it.

there is a great cheap hotel just of the Dam square, road next to red light district, just round the back of the Old Bourse clock. Forgot the street. You can probably just turn up (that's what I did)

any good coffee shops for the green stuff...
they are everywhere in the red light district. you will have no problem. Harder to find if you go up to Leidensplein area

Do I love Amsterdam mushrooms. The only drug I know where you don't pay the up with an equal down. A fantastic value drug imo :-)

You can fly with Easyjet for as little as £70 return from Luton or Liverpool.

I always stay at the Luxer hotel on the Warmoesstraat. It's bang in the middle of everything and is a decent quality hotel compared to a lot of the other hostel like hotels around. You won't find any places available for less than 50 euros a night if you wanna stay in the centre however.

A couple of doors up from the Luxer you have Hunters bar and next to it Hunters cafe. You won't find many better places than these ;)

thats wrong, a lot of coffee shops just have sepearte romms ie grasshoper and many others. thats a myth that you cant smoke in places
