Good luck CI, even if I guess our chances are slim, at least we're trying!

You need to be in Asia to get full membership of the ICC now.

Should signal the start of the end of English cricket that.

Seeing that England have poached Irrelands best players,ie Joyce,Eoin Morgan and are looking at Wm Porterfield and Boyd Rankin. Also I'd imagine that Liam Plunkett has some Irish blood in him

no offence to Ireland but the world does not need another small cricketing nation -how many will watch a test series between England and Ireland?
Report Deadly Earnest November 2, 2009 12:36 PM GMT
Loads if the Ireland Galacticos turn out. Would be good for England's big match development too, might delay the downwrd spiral a bit.

We'll know we're in trouble when we have to start picking Portuguese "cricketers" :^0

Seems the terminal decline has been arrested.

Let's see how the downward spiral gets on. ;)

You can have all the one day wins you like, Deadly. It matters little.... ;o)
Report Deadly Earnest November 2, 2009 6:40 PM GMT
Come to the headquarters of fair dinkum cricket Grim, see if you can compete there, if you tick that bow, then see if you can actually win a match, then if you tick that box, then we'll scrutinise it for live match status, then if you manage that rare achievement(last achieved when,1986?) see if you can stop the real deal from winning several more than your lot, if you get this far we'll hopefully recover from shock soon enough to check whether you can stop the deal winning more than your pretenders, and in the highly unlikely event that occurs, let's see if you can actually win more than than the alpha males, laughable though that is to even consider, then, and only then, you can say you've done something that matters.

Until then old chum, your lot have a lot more to apologise for than to be proud of, and we are travelling alright thank you very much.

Would the likes of Morgan,Joyce etc be allowed to 'rejoin' Ireland if they were to gain full membership?
Report stephaniebot November 6, 2009 6:51 AM GMT
Ed Joyce will qualify for Ireland again early in 2011 as it will be 4 years since he last played for England as things stand.

I'd like to think Eoin Morgan would be given a choice if we got full test status, and he could then decide whether he wanted to stay as an ODI player only for England (as seems the case at present) or playboth for his home nation
