They do the same for other sports. If in doubt, suspend. If there's a potential red card for example in the football they suspend until they're sure of the outcome.

I think the market should be suspended as soon as the match MIGHT be over, in the same way as they suspend a football match if a goal MIGHT have been scored, only to unsuspend again if it turned out it was disallowed.

No but betfair's rule is to cancel bets on a goal or red card, so it's right to suspend when there is a potential one. It's also right to suspend when there is a potential reason to either cancel bets or end the game.

plenty of cricket matches and other sports left open for ever after the game but because not key markets it's ok ?
so you think a random approach is better cdog ?plenty of cricket matches and other sports left open for ever after the game but because not key markets it's ok ?
would be open to hoovering from the 3rd ump booth. (i know many things are open to hoovering which they do nothing about) I was expecting a suspension as soon as it went upstairs and the game could be over.

comparing it with a footie match is incorrect. footie is officially a managed market and betfair have a duty to suspned at cetain times. cricket is an unmanaged market and betfair have no duty even to suspend at the end of the match.

if it wasnt suspended then you'd have already had dozens of posts on here about how the hooverers had taken all their money...it was 1.7ish at the time of run out with a lot of money available down til 1.01
this would have all been hoovered on the first replay of the run out...so i dont see the problem....not that i had money up at that point :0

...and for what its worth I'm not too fussed by the suspension. I was changing out of my third pair of trousers at the time.
When Kumar's first ball went over the fence I had to retire for hygiene reasons. :0

Scottyn 05 Nov 20:34 as someone said - the game was over the moment the bails were broken....
No it wasn't. The game is over when the final batsman is out, and he was not out until the third umpire gave him out.

one step missed out - the fielding side have to appeal, then the ump has to give it lol now that would be quite a**if the fielding team were to decline to appeal :^0
