Every town should have someone to take care of Joe Public's accounts. Like that online thing that just started up. Their claim is that you hand over control of your energy accounts to them and then every year they switch you to the cheapest one. Why hasn't every town got one of those imo?

Big energy drain is oven.wasHong machine. From china? Bit ass tv aka bat. pc. I use up 65 ponds or pounds a month. Two quid a day. I pay in advance to stop bills coming. Use an old bill with complete bar code. My gas got out of hand. That company is out of order. BBritish gas. First to slam yoh for any delay. I managed to get a payment card and pay them I'm advance too. Let a bill come in for three months and you get wound up by how much they want. I had a spspreadsheet with auautomated calculation to show what every machone was using? I was using what they said.
But. They charge a flat fee at start. If I use no gas I still have to pay 35 x4 . 140 . Thus meter is pre 1990. The pipes the same. They are jokers.

Last week I got paid for using electricity when rates on the National Grid turned negative.
The wind blew and the sun shone and they had to dump electricity

needs a smart meter - they will install - if asked - tell them you are getting an electric car and they may expedite the changeover
also - if you are on a fixed rate actively check you are on the very cheapest available - they will let you switch without penalty mid term ( as you know!)
They not only switched me upon request but then backdated my gas bills and credited me with the difference , cheaper, rate for a 2 months .
Do not just read/ accept them when they say on your monthly bill that you are already on the cheapest tariff; in my experience this was not true. For anyone else - switching to Octopus is a doddle- they do the work . 100% Green . To do what i've done just join on the ir best rate . Once done ask them for a smart meter. Then switch to Agile. And if you want a £50 joining credit ask me .
They even answer the phone within a few minutes - even during Covid Whats not to like?

dave - i understand and you could be right - if i can find it i'll post up a link with a graph detailing 18 months on this tariff with daily highs and lows - before joining i did see that last year their were 31 'price plunges'- days on which electricity cost fell below 2p believe are I was previously with one of the big 6 - and they were utterly appalling to deal with - so much so that I made them pay repeatedly for dire service/ broken promises and even and outright lies... I am personally delighted with my current supplier who are innovative , are undermining the very big players - are still able to make a profit and are acting to everyones advantage.
