so you are travelling down Seven Sisters road at 62 miles per hour and its a 60 mile speed limit zone.A cop pulls you over and says "you were breaking the speed limit "and he gives you a speeding ticket.
now the world spins at 16,000 miles per hour,
the planet goes round the sun at 67,000 miles per hour
the sun drags the planet round the galaxy at 514,000 miles per hour.
and our galaxy is hurtling through space at 1.3 million miles per hour.
so everyone sitting in a car in seven sisters road are breaking the speed limit.
if the cop just charges you with speeding he is discriminating against you.
so if the rest of the public who are in a car in seven sisters road are not speeding show me where it says in the law that space travel speeding is exempt.Laugh

i would also imagine our group of galaxies are travelling at the speed of light towards the great attractor .
and in Albert EINSTEIN relativity he proves that you can not go faster than the speed of light.in other words if you are on a train travelling at the speed of light by running down the carriage of the train you are not travelling faster.
so the law of thermodynamics proves that the person travelling down the seven sisters road in his car can not be speeding.
what a great test case for the courts.Laugh

What if they are on the Old Kent Road, do the same rules of physics apply ?

not sure about thatLaugh
There was a lorry driver in ireland who was arrested for drunken driving ,and when he was asked to give a blood sample he did not refuse but he insisted that the sample came from his big toe.The doctor found it impossible to get the required amount of blood  from his big toe and the lorry driver got off because the garda had no proof that he was drunk.
The law had to be changed and inserted in the law states that no big toe samples of blood are adequate if offered.LaughLaugh
