Died far too young then

At that time the NZ Rugby Union lads were on a huge amount of PEDs alongside huge amounts of Creatine that is where his kidney issues came from.

Sad all Rugby players seem big now...but he took some stopping at his best

"At that time the NZ Rugby Union lads were on a huge amount of PEDs alongside huge amounts of Creatine that is where his kidney issues came from."

Not true.
Report DenzilPenberthy • March 15, 2019 11:44 PM GMT
So how do you explain Joeli Vidiri and Lomu who both played for the Auckland Blues in the 90s getting a kidney disease that affects 3 in 100,000?
Naive to think Lomu wasn't on PEDs
Report DenzilPenberthy • March 15, 2019 11:46 PM GMT
They'll admit heavy creatine usage but roids etc not so much.

Do they call them PEDDOs down under?
Report UBLE/REGY • March 15, 2019 11:48 PM GMT
I remember in the 1995 Rugby World Cup

England had to play N.Zealand...the England manager was asked would he have something special to deal with Lomu

The England Manager said no need, Underwood can cope with him,

Cope with him? Underwood might as well not been playing Lomu just brushed him aside like a piece of tissue paper.

S.Africa did not make the same mistake in the final, they had three big back row forwards following him everywhere

They smashed him before he could get up pace, and won the final of course.
Report UBLE/REGY • March 15, 2019 11:53 PM GMT
Once he earnt his reputation, most teams smashed Lomu early, I do not know if that contributed to his early death.?

Teams had to smash him early, stop him getting up to full pace at all costs, because nobody could stop him then.
