she should fly home and call an emergency meet tomorrow in the chamber. She then finally admits in front of all parties that her baby is going nowhere, and the EU have blocked her at every turn! Therefore; we must now prepare for no deal

What is the problem?

Is it this Irish Border again....EU say we must have one, May does not want one.

Will it be that bad?

I would happier if we leave with a deal, I do not wish to starve to death.

As for my plan; i'd put my hard-earned and best suit on the following.. The EU Would poo their nappies as they want a no-deal even less than you, sir.

I think Parliament will block any deal. Both the EU and our Parliament would like a 2nd Ref. 3 outcomes on the ballot paper:

1)May's deal
2)No Deal
3)Stay in EU.

The Brexit vote will be split between 1 and 2 and 3 will win.

And then there will be riots. Sadiq Khan will ask Macron to borrow his water canon and he'll use so much water there'll be a hosepipe ban next Summer.

Surely they must understand a backstop we can never get out of is impossible to accept? They want to make sure the deal isn't accepted an Brexit is stopped. Screw them. Walk with no deal.

she could get some onside by doing what she should have last week. Namely bring the deal to the chamber, open the vote and get defeated. Hold up her sweaty hands and say "My honourable members; you have spoken and i will abide by your decision. There will be no deal before the leaving date of 29/03/2019. Unless of course the EH come up with a workable deal that the house will accept and my country will move forward with. That should get sproutland interested

But Bap, the commons is full of arrogant remoaners who openly despise and disrespect their electorate who voted Leave.

A large number of them would have no problem in demanding a commons vote to try and stop Brexit. I'm not sure about procedure but I believe MPs can call for certain motions outwith the government calling for them. That gets called, and then Brexit is stopped, 50 revoked.

The electorate are told their opinion doesn't count, if the "wrong" result is returned it will be overturned, and the UK is an international laughing stock, and the EU cackle and start wondering what opt outs they can remove and punishment they could pull on such a spineless country...
Report Baphornet • December 14, 2018 10:53 PM GMT
Just Checking; yes they can ask for an amendment or vote but it's rarely passed. And in this case as it would show their 'cards' so to speak, i can't see it happening.Your bottom paragraph is entirely correct imo as Juncker and his merry men & women have started the abuse of this government and it's people already today. This is why i see my 'plan' as doable now. The EU are bluffing, and we aren't. I've sat in on negotiations at boardroom level and believe me it isn't gentle. May is so far out of her depth she may have damaged this country beyond repair. We are a very proud people (normally) and if some bureaucrats continue abusing our PM, the government, and the country then now is the time to act! If of course, as i think you believe? it doesn't matter what we do as the plan for a 'return' to the EU is already signed & selaed, then i'm typing for nothing

Report Baphornet • December 14, 2018 11:20 PM GMT
brassneck; talking of the word "hero" please indulge me an opinion on our honouable PM. When negotiations began on the deal, the PM sent Davies to negotiate. I respect Davies, but i think even he was out-gunned. It didn't help of course that sitting in the background was the real 'negotiator' keeping her head below the parapet. She deliberately killed off Davies by undermining him and making his position untenable. She did exactly the same to Raab, who as being younger and more ambitious than Davies, saw what she was up to and cleared off for his own careers sake. This were the word hero now raises it's head. Do you remember when the PM announced that she, yes she was taking over the negotiations? A smart move if she could carry it off and no doubt thought up by that civil service cretin Olly Robins. This of course - if she could carry off the deal (her baby) would make the leaving fratenity look more than stupid, and make herself look like the all inspiring little grey-haired saviour and hero of the country. A smart plan that unfortunately needed someone more experienced in negotiations than a self-serving nutcase!

well do we believe her? I should be excited as it seems the nutcase is moving along towards my way of thinking. Brinkmanship - bluffing; whatever you want to call it, she has started. I expect big biz to support her through Christmas with maybe a word from the Canadian banker? I fear though it is just a ploy to scare her own backbenchers into finally supporting her baby. She also hasn't done what she should have to carry the brinkmanship; namely but the baby to a vote! Thus killing my scepticism.
