the calabrian nduja was priced at 6.50,which i declined;the iberico was a more spicy 7.50,which i duly abstained upon.

however on visiting the deli counter i came across the waitrose chorizo sticks-now im a bit of a connoisseur in said snack and will as such apply a rating

texture-9/10
spicyness-8/10
value-8/10

so my verdict is probably the best out there.

I can't stand chorizo personally, far too salty and oily for my delicate palate.

on a general rule the ' good ' supermarket versus the others has gone forever . you need the patience to work out the particular buyers for each and shop accordingly. you can find rubbish hams in waitrose , great goats cheese in asda , fab anchovies in lidl , etc , etc ....take your time . that is the one thing supermarkets don't like you doing .

You're right, windsor knot. It's swings and roundabouts with supermarket produce these days.

Agree slippy, and most foreign sausages are riddled with garlic to hide the taste of whatever is in there. Tuscan sausage is a notable exception.
