RINGO TO GET KNIGHTHOOD

And not before time.

Think it was just Lennon that returned his MBE in protest about Britain's support of the USA in the Vietnam war. Paul, George and Ringo kept theirs.

yeah but look where it got him

Not bad for someone who wasn't even the best drummer in The Beatles

Must have a hidden something though when you look at his wives, past and present...

john was having a joke,in another interview he said ringo was great and never missed a beat

I always got the impression that he could not give a sh1te about his fellow Scousers refusing Autographs and the like.....I may have got that completely wrong.

I thought they all had one.

A long way after time.
There's not many Knights of the Realm of the last 25 years, who will still be acknowledged a few hundred years from now

Many congratulations to him and still one of the best drummers of all-time

(well according to other great drummers)

He was (might still be) a brilliant drummer.
He came up with little ideas which are unique and was a vital part of the overall sound.

Well deserved and a tad late.

Sir Ringo of the Round Table

Congrats Ringo. A travesty you'll have to share the palace with deplorables like Clegg!

John Lennon never said the quote that 'he wasn't even the best drummer in the Beatles' and was actually a joke by Jasper Carrott, a couple of years after Lennon's death.

Must have been for services to Thomas the Tank Engine.
