Cars have, after all, been available for well over 100 years, and both crowds and the mentally ill have been with us for thousands of years.
However it's only in the last few years that the (alleged) 'mentally ill' have routinely decided to drive into crowds with cars, trucks and whatever form of transport they can seemingly get their hands on, trying to kill and maim as many innocent people as possible. How did they pass their driving tests, get insurance and in some cases go through the process of renting vehicles given their illness?
What's changed in the world of Mental Health that causes the patient to choose this most deadly form of self-expression?
Has the BBC or C4 found an alleged Mental Health Expert to keep a straight face while looking into a camera to tell us that it's standard behaviour for such patients, and that UK and Commonwealth countries have a long history of this?
“We will introduce the first new Mental Health Bill for 30 years, to put parity of esteem at the heart of treatment and end the stigma of mental illness once and for all.”
From the Conservative manifesto.
At least the government are on the ball you'll be pleased to know.

More people are having their childish thoughts encouraged instead of diminished as they grow up. There are adults who obviously need to be under a care plan but instead are praised and told that they are right and others are wrong. Mental illness, specifically those who have unusual thoughts, is no longer seen as needing treatment and is not only all around us but indeed nurtured.

Some people are carophobic. Many attacks do not involve cars. It is hateful to say otherwise. Of course the BBC and Guardian are typically non specific and state that it is "vehicles" that are used!

Yes doctor. Vehicles involved in 'INCIDENTS' seem to be on the rise. Milk floats next?
On grooming the impoverished - strikes me at least half are degree qualified in some cases doctors and all sorts of 'middle class' professionals etc.
It's the ideology that promotes it all.

Apparently the driver has no links to known terrorists therefore he mustn't be a terrorist. This coming from the same Police Force that allowed a 150 strong Sudanese gang to go on a six hour rampage - without once showing up to spoil their fun in any way - then asking (the next day) if the perpetrators would like to hand themselves in.
