Sounds like a good idea.
If you're under 50 and can't support yourself then it's the ranks for you.

you can not have a few million young fellows walking round the streets waiting to collect their giro's on a Friday ,and having no job.So a simple answer could be to chuck them in to the armed forces for 3 years and make them work for their unemployment assistance .most countries do this.So a reasonable age should be that anyone under 50 years of age that is out of work for 3 months or more should be conscripted into the armed forces and they can still get their giro'on a friday as payment.

The age limit is a little high, old chap. Thirty-five would be rather more reasonable.

It's an excellent idea, and during the Summer months to save them hanging around getting bored, we could use them on the land picking fruit and stuff.

it would be great work experience for the 18-25 year old chaps.
of course the 48-50 gamblers with no work can always be fitted in togovernment odds department ,and work out odds of various items for example =how many young men would be needed for extra duties in the north sea ,as the uk will be claiming back their terratoriel waters,or how many under 25 years of age young men  would be needed to build 80,000 houses .
it was the young people that voted to leave so they should all be happy to help.
And it would be more benefit to the guys who hang about at street corners at 3 in the morning drinking beer.(he he)i think it would be a great idea.

Good idea with the inner city areas moisk.
Give them machine guns and tell them what to look out for.

NO need for police everyone would be in the army.

We might get the odd accident but no one is perfect.

I don't know what it is like now, but in my day service men could be very naughty when released from a duty stint

The unemployed over 50s could be conscripted to do something also. Oh hold on - there would be no one left to man the forum

don't know about wwII  but check out napoleonic portugal and spain  - a vicious campaign on behalf of the iberian peninsular

racing when germany got over run with young men who had arrived on boats only a year ago Angela invited 1 million to come to germany and everyone thought angela was of her rocker.
the million hung round at sreeet corners and began to live of the german state,but angela had a plan.After 3 months any who had no job were told to join the german army at small wages.Now she has a million more(all boat people young men) in her german army that have been trained for the front line in the event of an attack on germany.
And everyone thought Angela was off her rocker when she opened her arms to the poor boat people.one year on her german army has got strengthened by ONE MILLION at cost price.

Once the uk brexit the european defence forces in the mediterranean will tell the boat people come ahead turn left into the atlantic and straight on up ,the spanish navy and the french navy will show you the way to the uk,and if you get in trouble the French will let you through the channel tunnel,or carry on up as far as ireland and you can get the train to the UK.
So the uk navy are going to need at least 200 thousand new staff.The airforce will need thousands of spotter plains and customs will need a few thousand staff.
and if globel warming continues the uk will be over run with boat people.And that is only my opinion but i imagine a lot of people just might agree with me.
