Lammy is another racist who would give people important jobs based on colour rather than ability.

The concept must be to provide equal chances to everyone, not an equal result based upon colour or ethnicity!

Setting targets to hire judges from ethnic minority backgrounds would be the "wrong way" to solve the issue of diversity, says the justice secretary.

David Lidington has outlined steps to tackle "race bias" in the legal system in England and Wales, following a damning report from MP David Lammy.

But the minister says the government needed to "look at the critical path" into the law - rather than targets.

Mr Lammy said he was "disappointed" with the government's response.

Anyone saying that people are being banged up in this country because of their Race is living on a different Planet ..

We need some positive discrimination here. Ethnic prisoners should be freed until they make up only 14% of the prison population. Sorted.

If you can't do the time then don't do the crime.

Perhaps he should be preaching that instead?

If they don't like it they know what they should do after they're released.

So 11% of magistrates are BAME, and 7% of judges or thereabouts.
Their job is to uphold and interpret a set of laws dating back to Magna Carta, a time period when the aggregate population of the UK has been significantly less than 7% BAME.

If a bunch of Brits went to another country and started demanding over representation in interpreting and applying the history of that country, then Lammy might have a point. Actually we've had colonialism so it's sort of happened. But this is now and two wrongs don't make a right.

The same Lammy who after the Brexit result immediately declared we should ignore it.

Clearly thinks we would be better served as a banana republic.

Lammy and Abbott increasing the number of black MP's by two too many ! Anyone in prison regardless of race is in prison for a reason. I would however say that in the country of my birth, the US it is clear that race does play a part. Plenty of white college kids on drug rehab programs for possession of coke outnumbered by the number of blacks in prison for the same offence ! I would also add like the US there is a case of white flight/fright and rightly and more than likely wrongly we have a vision of a mugger in our minds. After following the series 999 What's your emergency there is a large proportion of white youths that's I find obnoxious ! And who have a total disregard for authority. When I hear these Wiltshire lads saying "In'it bruv" I hang my head in despair
