Feuds in music

I was going to add The Police but googling to refresh my memory turned up this Rolling Stone piece:

Brahms was notoriously spiky, and hated all Franz Liszt. Liszt wasn't the only composer during whose premieres Brahms fell asleep. During the premiere of Tchaikovsky's glorious Symphony No. 5, Brahms also fell asleep! There was no love lost between these two great composers: Tchaikovsky said of Brahms: “I consider you very untalented, full of pretensions but utterly devoid of creative inspiration. I rate you very poorly.”

Simon & Garfunkel fell out incredibly at some point!

I think it was Garfunkel who said he had created a monster!

Cheryl Baker fell out, big time, with David Van Day

I can remember dave davies out of the kinks having a bust up on stage with one of the other kinks, it might even have been with his brother ray but im not sure on that.

Can't wait for Fleetwood Mac - The Movie

The Everly Brothers

Don and Phil Everly

Happens all the time in bands - you spend that amount of time with people who are self-centred and told they are wonderful 24/7, no wonder there's a clash of ego's (and fists / skulls).

Inter- band feuds?

Oasis / Blur
Richie Blackmore / Bruce Springsteen
Burzum / Mayhem (murder is about as hardcore as you can get)

Read any biography of a band and there's some digs at other bands or band members - all good stuff

Slightly odd one
Linda Ronstadt v Howard Stern.

David Crosby v Neil Young. This is recent when they were both about 70 !
Crosby didn't approve of Young leaving his wife for Daryl Hannah.

The Osbournes / Iron Maiden had a feud, Sharon Osbourne cut the power to their stage/PA while they played a gig just to p1ss them off, seems a bit disrespectful to the paying fans...

I heard Jedward had a massive punch up back stage at College Green Dublin.

Lynrd Skynrd vs Neil Young

See the lyrics of 'Alabama' and 'Sweet Home Alabama'.

Here's one where it went a bit far:

Ex member of black metal band killed the current member .

I suppose it's a bit like The Beatles, as all 'truthers' know, Paul McCartney was killed by an alien doppleganger who take his place in the 70s.
But THEY don't want you to know .

Jedward huge punch up? Handbags at 3 paces!

Young and what's left of Lynyrd Skynyrd have consistently said there was no feud and it was all done in good humour. Not sure I believe that. Young had actually started putting the boot in on his previous album with " Southern Man "
You could write a book about the feuds in CSN&Y. Apparently they broke up for the first time because Crosby and Stills fell out over Judy Collins. Stills and Young had a very on-off relationship going back to their days in Buffalo Springfield and I recently saw an interview with Graham Nash who also now seems to have fallen out with Crosby.

The Beach Boys were always falling out during the early years until they split.

They agreed to a reunion in 2012 and split again during the reunion tour.
