Sincere condolences. I know EXACTLY what it feels like. Just think of the great home you gave her and what you received in return. She had a long life and I am sure she was well looked after.

A know these words wont help,but.................................look out for a new cat arriving ,and it will, and I know you will say its not the same, and then your love for the first will transfer to the new cat.And you think at this moment in time you could never love another cat the way you loved the first, but the law of attraction is bringing the new cat to you as I post and he will arrive when you least expect him.your grief for the first will attract the second towards you.the law of attraction is always further down the path you walk and knows everything about you.

I am indeed raising a glass of Navy rum to your cat and you as I type.
It's a bloody awful thing to go through and I really hope you feel a bit better soon.

,I doubt your local feathered friends will be beside themselves with sorrow ,however as you have never offered any malice on delicate issues pertaining to animal rights ect ,I offer my condolence in your hour of grief at the sad passing of said furball ,18 years is a long time ,these sad feline freds just don't hold the same gravitas after the loss of the Croydon one ,do you have any anecdotes on the life and times of said feline to lighten the mood a notch roughly iyo how many birds were mercilessly and wilfully killed and maimed in her rein ? not to mention the thousands of innocent mice and voles slaughtered on a whim .

breadnbutter, I am losing garden birds daily to a sparrowhawk. I am told a pair and their young would need over two thousand small birds per annum, it would take a good few cats to match that. Nature is unkind, should I hate the sparrowhawk?

I can honestly say that she never caught a bird in all her life, but she did bring a mouse in as a prezzie which i then released back over the garden fence
She never left the safety of the back garden in all her years
