Well, I've looked and looked at this utterly rancid 'top dollar talent' list, and try as I might I cannot find a single member of The Antiques Road Trip experts featuring amongst the less-than-fragrant 'stars'.
When I think back to what these Beautiful Highwaymen (and women) have taught this country about Vulture Capitalism on The Antiques Road Trip, it beggars belief that neither a Hanson, a Lewis, a Laidlaw or even a Manning find themselves on a richly-deserved and long-overdue £1 million plus salary.
When have (for example) Shearer, Norton, Lineker and the rest of the lightweights ever shown the viewers how to go into a shop, beat a proprietor into parting with a valuable object for £8 and then flogging it for £2700 down the road? Never. That's when.
Understandably I'm already livid and SEETHING, but quite honestly I want to shake, shout and scream at these ghastly revelations. Make no mistake, this is like Watergate all over again.
It's maybe even as bad as that time when the BBC viewers were promised 'lashings of l*sb*an sex orgies' in that drama programme 'Tipping The Velvet', only for the scenes never to appear. They never even materialised on the 'Extras' section of the 'TTV' DVD, and I should know because I checked. Several times. Harrumph.
Alun, I am delighted you posted this. We are both of one mind. However none of it is as bad as wot The No Talent Toothsome Twosome Ant n Dec get paid and also Davina.

You see, I really don't know what you are all on about. I have seen some antique shows in the past but apart from that, there is the silent staring face of sheep shearer and that is about it. Rarely see anything of the bbc. Occasionally a little of the news but mainly on line bbc news. Tragic really. We should have a public service but it has been so stuck on one agenda. I am not sure any of the other channels are any better quite honestly.
