The FBI has found no evidence of criminality in the new batch of Hillary Clinton emails.

In a letter to members of Congress, FBI director James Comey said the agency had finished its review and found nothing to change its position.

The issue flared up again with the discovery of new "pertinent" emails.

They were reportedly found on the laptop of Anthony Weiner, the estranged husband of one of the Democratic presidential candidate's closest advisers.

But in Sunday's follow-up letter, Mr Comey wrote: "Since my letter, the FBI investigative team has been working around the clock to process and review a large volume of emails from a device obtained in connection with an unrelated criminal investigation.

"During that process, we reviewed all of the communications that were to or from Hillary Clinton while she was Secretary of State.

"Based on our review, we have not changed our conclusions that we expressed in July with respect to Secretary Clinton."

On board the candidate's campaign airplane, the Clinton team welcomed the news.
Communications director Jennifer Palmieri told media:"We've seen Director Comey's latest letter.
"We were glad to see, as we were confident he would, he's confirmed the conclusions he reached in July.

xxxxxxxxxx xxxxxxx xxxxxxx

A new NBC/Wall St Journal opinion poll on Sunday before news of the FBI letter broke suggested a four-point lead for Mrs Clinton.

The latest Washington Post/ABC tracking poll put her lead at five points.

Sunday's campaign stops take Mrs Clinton to Ohio, Michigan, Pennsylvania and New Hampshire, while Mr Trump travels to Iowa, Minnesota, Michigan, Pennsylvania and Virginia.

Limbaugh: FBI Rekindled Email Investigation Just to Distract Attention From Wikileaks
by Sam Reisman | 5:07 pm, October 28th, 2016
Audio 150

rushlimbaughResponding to the news Friday that the FBI was rekindling its investigation into Clinton’s emails, Rush Limbaugh speculated that the bureau was simply trying to redirect voters’ attention away from Wikileaks’ ongoing release of emails hacked from Clinton campaign manager John Podesta.

FBI Director James Comey “is going to make everybody think for the next three or four days that there’s really something to be forthcoming here,” Limbaugh said.

Limbaugh said that the revelations in the Wikileaks material were “starting to hurt” the Clintons and that the renewed interest in an FBI investigation into her private email server would be a fruitless distraction.

The radio host likened Comey to the “Lone Ranger,” riding to the Clinton campaign’s rescue. He added that Comey was “still carrying water for Clinton and is trying to get everybody to stop paying attentions to the Wikileaks dump.”

Limbaugh qualified that this was the “cynical” interpretation of recent events.

Actually it is, Communism fell in 1989.
Putin has been democratically elected.

It is a pity Wikileaks has to rely on hacked information, but our own leaders do not tell us much do they?
How we supposed to know what they are up to behind our back?

650,000 in ten days?

They have computer programmes that can tell if an e-mail is one they have seen before, in the previous investigations. It`s reported that  a huge number of the 650,000 were, in fact, such duplicates, so were instantly discarded. Throw in extra staff apparently doing 16-hour days, with the work going on 24-hours, and you get there.

The figure of 650,000 has not been confirmed by the FBI, and even if it is that many, these are emails on Anthony Weiner's laptop so only a fraction of those will relate to Clinton's private server.

It's perfectly possible for them to have reviewed all the relevant emails in that time with the manpower and technology available to them.

Honestly dave - a few weeks ago you were bleating on about Trump not releasing his tax returns. Now, you do understand WHY that is a task undertaken by all candidates? No? Well I will educate you. It is to show where their income is coming from, as defrauding the IRS is very serious and so they will not have done it - so the world can see where the money is coming from and then make their own decision about bribery.

Then there is the Clinton Foundation. A corrupt organisation from top to bottom which exists solely to channel bribes from foreign nations and the banking industry to the Clinton family.

In your world, that is totally acceptable. A strange point of view IMHO.

It is to do with the nailed on states (for either side) leaves about 5 swing states in this election. Other states could go the 'wrong' way, but it is unlikely (the only likelihood I can see is if there really is a big Trump 'shy vote').

Florida has a lot of electoral college votes for the winner, and is a swing state, so the winner of Florida will have a huge advantage. If Clinton wins it, then it is very likely all over for Donald.

Ignore the pundits
Ignore the polls
Ignore the market

Each of them were wrong with Brexit, `Remain` was 1.06 as voting was closing purely because the market wrongly believed the pundits, who were wrong, and the polls, which were wrong. This being an even more extreme example of a public vote, just means they`ve all got it even more wrong, because they`re using last century ideas on how a campaign `should` be run, and how to measure things. Trump`s style renders all such measurements redundant and obsolete.

Trump ROMPS this.
Report timbuctooth • November 8, 2016 6:48 PM GMT

you cant say because the pollsters got brexit wrong that they've got this wrong !

they may be wrong,

there are lots of 9/2 shots that win

but they dont win because they are 9/2 shots
Report donny osmond • November 8, 2016 7:12 PM GMT
there were plenty of folk on here and closer to home who were confounded by the polls
produced about brexit

it seemed loads disagreed with them

i've not heard the same about us polls

just that brexit polls were wrong
Report timbuctooth • November 8, 2016 7:17 PM GMT
I`m saying pollsters got Brexit wrong because they used traditional measures to form their opinions, not realising that Brexit wasn`t a normal vote. This election is a more extreme vote than Brexit, yet pollsters somehow have failed to recognise why they were so spectacularly wrong, so are making the same mistakes again, leading to even-more-extreme erroneous assumptions. And conclusions.

Stop watching and believing CNN!!! Or, at least, alternate it with Fox, as plenty of pundits on there have been fully aware of likely shy-Trumpsters. Again, you can`t use last century`s yardsticks when you have someone as polarising as Trump making a mockery of every known rule on how a candidate should behave. And succeeding by doing it!

i dont watch cnn,

ive posted many times of my concerns for polling this election

swapping a black man for a white woman and trying to balance their
polling,... impossible .....where is the raw data from the pollsters

but trump wont win because hes 9/2

he will win if he gets the vote out
Report TheBetterBettor • November 8, 2016 8:35 PM GMT
The Jo cox factor in the last week of the referendum caused a rick in the polls/odds...where markets thought that the sympathy vote would produce a remain outcome.
Report TheBetterBettor • November 8, 2016 8:36 PM GMT
*probably caused a rick in the polls/odds
