I've completed a C#, Python and Android course but I've also started a few courses and gave up when the going got tough or I got bored.
Udacity was the best for their Android course but I've also used Edx and Udemy.

The Python course was marked by other participants (while you marked theirs) but the other 2 never had any unless you paid. In fairness you are more likely to complete the course if you pay but it's totally optional and I've never paid.
Some courses are better than others BTW so if you don't like what you see you'll find it better elsewhere. I've struggled with Android until I done the Udacity course.
Coursera is another big site that has a load of free stuff, just Google Mooc (massive open online courses.)
Also most of these courses have a time limit and require a couple of hours each week. Even though your learning at your own pace, the material isn't always available after the course ends. Don't worry though, the same course will be available after a month or so.

The one that's taking my fancy is Introduction to Computer Science which is run by Harvard: https://www.edx.org/course/introduction-computer-science-harvardx-cs50x
I've experience of most things on the syllabus and as don't want to over-extend myself thought it might be worth a try (and it is Harvard!). I noticed its got nine problem sets plus a final project and was wondering who/how these would be marked. The videos for the course are available on YouTube but there's no assessment if you go that route.

Just do it, the course will repeat if you fail to complete it first time around.
It will probably be as I mentioned above, you send your material in and it is distributed to several students, you in turn will have to grade a couple of students who you won't know the identity. You will be told how to mark and where to mark down so it's all pretty easy and not time consuming.
I'm still working through other Android courses on Udacity (it's a 4 part series at your own pace), I've a couple of app ideas I know would be useful. i can produce an app, just not something I'd be happy to put on the Play store.

I'm doing a paid for course through Coursera. It is decent value for money, plus you can do it when you like which is useful because I have had to delay a session because of work commitments.
Like any learning it is only of benefit of you have a practical example through work to work through it with.

Thanks for reminding me Charlie. Doing one of the edX courses from University of Queensland as am interested in the topic and it is also work related.
Since the internet became available I've always thought that the opportunity for people to get free and serious education should be one of its most important benefits and driving forces... well that and porn.
