Can't say I'm surprised.

The existence of UKIP has now been pretty much taken away but above that, image being Nigel Farage.

A large percentage of his life is spent in an institution the vast majority of which absolutely loathes him. He's a combative so-and-so and won't back down from a scrap it seems so, every working day for him is an absolute emotional and mental battle which has to take it's toll.

Gets back to Blighty and it's more of the same. He's a Fascist. He's a Racist. He promised £350m to the NHS (he didn't actually - that was never a 'Grassroots Out' slogan but what the hell). He polarises opinion and yes politics is a tough game but hit with all that, no wonder the poor s0d wants to put his feet up a while.

Physically too, he's still carrying injuries from the plane crash he was involved in before the previous election.
Report dunlaying • July 4, 2016 11:07 AM BST
Perhaps he will join the Tory Party.
Report Tallywagger. • July 4, 2016 11:35 AM BST
Thought he may have waited until the Tory party choose their next leader.

May = big increase in UKIP vote

Leadsom = big fall in UKIP vote

So surprised he didn't wait.

erm...I see xmoneyx, no not really

I said he spoke up for the people, even though I am not sure I can forgive him for being a Tory,

He put pressure on Cameron to force him to give us a referendum on immigration....

Which I think was long overdue.

I see he gets a mixed reception on hereLaugh
Report wildmanfromborneo • July 4, 2016 12:09 PM BST
Will go down in history as the man who saved Britain.

Part of the reason was the effect it had on its children, the thugs from the UAF had terrorised them on more than one occasion.

Johnny Mustang is typical of this new craven Londoner,in denial over his city becoming a foreign and Muslim one and unable to tolerate anyone who gently points it out.

But I think the people of any country has a democratic right to decide who they want in their country and how many

without being called Racists, Fascists or Nazis...this is really not on.

80% of farage working life has been in EU

His father was a stockbroker who worked in the City of London

Farage was active in the Conservative Party from his school days

Farage was educated at Dulwich College

On leaving school in 1982, he decided not to go to university, but to work in the City, trading commodities

Exactly which 'race' being discriminated against would that be please?  Which race did the white, black, Chinese, Indian/Pakistani Heritage voters for 'Leave' racially discriminate against when they were concerned about Immigration?

Also, is it perfectly legitimate to be concerned about the numbers of immigrants if it places an even bigger strain on the NHS, Schools, Roads and Transportation etc?

Report wildmanfromborneo • July 4, 2016 7:16 PM BST
Facts is correct it is amazing they gave so much coverage to Nigel Farage.

Facts doesn't get a lot right and here he is right for the wrong reasons.

Nigel Farage is an English patriot,a man who believes in his country and has been the saviour of Great Britain.
Nigel Farage has been the best friend the British working class has ever had.

These aspects of Farage make him a hate figure in the BBC as they like Facts despise the working class, dislike the English.

Yes it is amazing they devoted so much time to the retirement of an English and now European hero.
Report G1_Jockey_4 • July 5, 2016 8:49 AM BST
Also, is it perfectly legitimate to be concerned about the numbers of immigrants if it places an even bigger strain on the NHS, Schools, Roads and Transportation etc?

so on another thread its ok to let people in because they fit the criteria yet another immigration angle argues the numbers.

yet we have half of the immigration problem because we didnt use our own ability to control numbers...

surely any half fit government would have closed the other option?

also then raising hopes for the locals with better jobs available.

my guess is they used austerity to cut funding for training and want to get ready trained people which would cost less

so the poor and working class have less hope.

not because of eu but because of our own governments policies.
Report G1_Jockey_4 • July 5, 2016 8:49 AM BST
oh and you lot voted them in because they dangled the carrot of an eu referendum.....

what a ****** up country we live in

if there is a surplus of people then the government has the power, if there is a shotage then the people and individuals have the power.
Thats how it works.
Report lfc1971 • July 5, 2016 9:11 AM BST
it is impossible to have any control of government policy..any policy, without stopping immigration.

yousee in a democracy the people choose the government. With immigration the government chooses the people, that's a very dangerous situation to be in.

no parliament doesnt need to vote it's up to the government.

the referendum vote is actually non binding on the government but surely the will of the people will be followed.
Report polo minx • July 5, 2016 12:32 PM BST
Well, surely if Mrs May is PM, the government will not approve Brexit
