Thank you Dan and Blackestnight. I'm going to give Glee a go.
I have just ordered Season1. I haven't got stuck into a boxset since Breaking Bad.
The trouble with boxsets is that they do tend to take over your life once you start

Season 1 was pretty good. I don't know about the other seasons but I imagine it got too aware of itself and worn out. Season 2 could have been good but you never beat the original do you.

If that's the way you feel about series you'll probably not enjoy it as you've already convinced yourself it wont bw worth the effort.
The one thing I would say is that when about 98% of people who watched it thought it was brilliant it has to have something going for it.
Oh and I watched it and it was brilliant for me.
We are od course all different though. Good luck with it.

Apologies for my aspersion on Glee, or rather its appeal to the Chit Chat cognoscenti.
I have enjoyed Breaking Bad, but also find having all those hours of programming daunting.
As an alternative, I would suggest Fargo, I would describe it as a Breaking Bad-lite, two 'seasons' each series being 10 hours. Lite in the sense of duration and tone - more dark humour than Breaking Bad, and it is easier to find empathy with the characters. The two seasons stand alone, so you could easily watch the first season and arrive at the 'end of the story'. Glad to see that season 3 is planned for next year.

Good morning Culvin. I'm not exactly sure what Glee is about. It appeals to me because of the music. I have seen a lot of clips on Youtube from it so decided to buy it. I don't watch a lot of TV so it will give me something to watch when I'm at a loose end.
It is American and I can't see it being your sort of thing.
