It has triple redundancies built in - there must be fifty weather people telling you the weather. Teams of executives talking about crap tv they produce. If they make one thing that is good like Wolf Hall (play that was in the theatre for two years before the bbc decided to make adaption) they never stop lathering themselves about it. £4.5 billion and one good thing a year. I would watch the BBC for the late night film or family guy. BBC3 which was one percent of their budget gets the axe and i don't care, let it fall. itv2 shows family guy now. Stuart Hall, jimmy, rolf, gary and jonathen king all got bbc subsidies. Some other bbc DJ's also are under suspicion. I'm sure it's not confined to just the 'talent'. power and corruption goes hand in hand at the bbc. getting a po faced exec to look stern and say the bbc is not responsible for the bad things at the bbc - then turn around and say the bbc takes responsibility for the good is just a bunch of double dealing. 4500 million for a dreadful service.
what i would do to improve the BBC. first - make it a subscription service £3 a week ticket at post office or subscribe with virgin/sky box. add adverts at the end of every programme, not during. Carlton cinema used to do this. the funds raised can be used to reduce subscription rates. add a weather chanel - the red button service is usually empty. no weather on any of their other stations. every fifteen minutes on the news station a weather update? insane. after eleven at night... no loud drumming on their news 24. need pounding drums at three in the morning? no countdown clock beeping out an empty minute to the news. put in a bbc advert.
programmes that must be axed... consumer nothings.. houses, cars, fridge magnets? no decorating do up shows. no antique shows. eastenders must be destroyed. It is cronic. if possible take all back copies of it to a desert location and test an atom bomb.
ch4 has shown numerous good comedy shows over the years. cheers, frasier, friends, everybody loves ray, king of queens and many many others. the BBC did very little - perhaps Seinfeld? but they tended to try and hide it at one in the morning like it was shameful? perhaps because its a non bbc product. the wire was lost to drifting schedules too.
they get the credit for other british productions - Sherlock Holmes with jeremy brett was made by granada. not the beeb.
a second rate service.
i want to celebrate the end of this service which has not been good since 1980?
too big - very poor. not worth nearly 5 billion a year.
There's less and less worth watching on BBC now? BBC3 was good, now dead. Newsnight was good, now dumbed down with awful presenters. News is just irritating. I don't watch Eastenders or celebrity cookery shows..

BBC shouldn't charge for a licence in the first place .It has NEVER been advert free .
They have been showing adverts for donkeys years ,even on comedy shows such as OFAH.
Blatanly holding up boxes of Weetabix, Coke cans placed delib in the eyeline, big names coming onto shows to get their product aired .
sickening ,arrogant set up - totally corrupt .

I don't make the habit of watching such shows but I've seen a few episodes of The Voice this season. There was a bloke wanting to be a woman who went on. They knocked him/her back because they had their backs to the contestants and presumably the voice wasn't up to much. Of course come the knock out stages someone else dropped out and this one was parachuted back in no questions asked.
During the show they were milking us for as many tears as they could, the faux (ooooh I can't do it), the song designed to tug the heart strings with her/him front and centre.
Of course they've taken him/her through and Boy George (the criminal) was sliding off his seat about a transexual star.
A small illustration of the BBC writ large.

The BBC make me sick. Norton paid a fortune to talk utter bollocks to a bunch of nobodies. Why not reduce his completely ridiculous wages, instead of cutting things that don't need to be cut. Why do license payers have no say in what is cut?

more on the advertising lark - watched some clip up at St James Park ,where the BBC camera was so fixated on the SPORTS DIRECT signange i thought i was watching an advert - they could have put that camera anywhere (and fooking should have) - then i notice on their website they call the EPL or English Prmeier league the BPL wtf ??? is the BPL ????.

embarrassing as well - like zoning in on crowds to find a a few black faces at somewhere such as Royal Ascot - they must have spotters or planters
