Bought ten large eggs from Aldi - 80p. They're usually a £1.

Got home and compared them with Tesco's Big and Fresh, or is it Large and Fresh at £1 for six.

The Aldi eggs were bigger and half the price of Tesco's.

Aldi trying to poach Tesco`s customers.
Report Just Checking • January 9, 2016 2:39 PM GMT
How did you measure them? Volume would be key, and if you were up on your greek history, you'd have a "Eureka" moment as to how to easily do it Wink.

I had an Ostrich egg the other week. Free range of course, would need a big cage otherwise. I boiled it for ages. The yolk was delicious and overall it was very tasty. However, it`s heavy going and takes about a week to recover from the experience.

Tesco milk (all varieties) 4 pints for £1.00.

As far as I'm aware other supermarkets are selling at the same price!

Except for Aldi £0.89.....

Just have to love the price wars, from a consumer point of view!

Some trivia:
Egg white is pretty much all protein (if you remove the water).
The actual german word for protein is "Eiweiss" - which means "Egg white".

You'll see it on your aldi egg carton, if it has German on it.

See guys, you're having fun AND learning. Whaaaaaaat? Laugh
