Some great stuff from the Daily Express today -

A BLIND mystic who reportedly predicted the 9/11 attacks, the 2004 tsunami and even the birth of the Islamic State also predicted a 2016 invasion of Europe by Muslim extremists.

Baba Vanga - who died in 1996 aged 85 - has long been valued as a master prophet because of her purported 85 per cent success rate.

Bulgaria-born Vanga, often referred to as “Nostradamus from the Balkans”, made hundreds of predictions during her 50-year career as a clairvoyant - with many alluding to naturally disasters.
She warned of melting polar ice caps and rising sea temperatures in the 1950s, decades before global warming was established.

But Vagna’s chilling prediction of a “great Muslim war” has sent believers into a frenzy as savage attacks from ISIS increase.

The terrifying prophecies warn of a 2016 invasion of Europe by Muslim extremists which would culminate in the establishment of a caliphate by 2043 with Rome at its epicentre.

She also claimed that “Muslims would use chemical warfare against Europeans”.

According to Vanga, Europe as we know it will “cease to exist” by the end of next year, with jihadis systematically eradicating entire populations.
She predicted the continent would be left “almost empty”, becoming a “wasteland almost entirely devoid of any form of life”.

The only thing my Irish Gypo crustal ball disagrees with Baba is....

The date of 2043.
Report HH Sultan Vinegar • December 8, 2015 9:59 AM GMT
also Rome as the epicentre is a bit obvious. Why not Newham?
Report guinness2dear • December 8, 2015 10:03 AM GMT
I'd go for Munchen, HH. It was after all the seat of the Bavarian Dukes who have the same colours as The Holy Roman Empire (lost in translation maybe for Baba?)
Report HH Sultan Vinegar • December 8, 2015 10:07 AM GMT
that meshes into history too neatly g2.
As they're the biggest bunch of sh1tes ever, it seems only fitting that they should HQ in the epicentre of sh1ttiness that is Newham.
imo that is.
Report guinness2dear • December 8, 2015 10:08 AM GMT
I bow to your superior knowledge of Newham, HH..

Report HH Sultan Vinegar • December 8, 2015 10:37 AM GMT
that would be a tough double.
Report HH Sultan Vinegar • December 8, 2015 10:38 AM GMT
she is. Would be interesting to see the relevant documentation behind the predictions.
Although a bit might be lost in the Bulgarian translation.
Report guinness2dear • December 8, 2015 10:39 AM GMT
I've done that double (not the Harringtons i hasten to add) and was feeling rather proud of myself come morning at the breakfast table. Until that is that the mother asked for £150!
Report guinness2dear • December 8, 2015 10:40 AM GMT
Aye, i have to say though she's new to my cultured noggin..
Report HH Sultan Vinegar • December 8, 2015 10:40 AM GMT
apparently she even served as an adviser to Bulgarian Communist Party leaders
Report HH Sultan Vinegar • December 8, 2015 10:41 AM GMT
haha re the £150
Report HH Sultan Vinegar • December 8, 2015 10:44 AM GMT
it's the bods who 'translate' her predictions that are the stars, for me.

eg

“Horror, horror! The American brethren (believed to be a reference to the two ‘brother’ towers) will fall after being attacked by the steel birds (thought to be the two hijacked passenger planes).
“The wolves will be howling in a bush (believed to be a reference to then US president George Bush) and innocent blood will gush.”

I know you'll probably relate to howling in a bush.

I was set up beautifully by an Engerlish 'friend'
Report guinness2dear • December 8, 2015 10:45 AM GMT

Ah bush. Back to the mother......
Report HH Sultan Vinegar • December 8, 2015 10:47 AM GMT
and interestingly she says that in 2028 mankind will fly to Venus, in hope of finding new sources of energy.
Although Europe is wasted and apparently Obama will be 'the last President'. So we're gonna see a few changes for sure.

never any tips for Cheltenham though
Report guinness2dear • December 8, 2015 10:52 AM GMT
Damn that's about the time i'm off to Italy for my retirement. Wonder if there are novice hurdles on Venus?
Report mecca • December 8, 2015 9:59 PM GMT
Why Venus? .... why not Serena?

Report Clouseau • December 8, 2015 10:30 PM GMT
85% success rate!

If she started 100 tips threads on BF forums 85 would get no replies and 15 would keep getting bumped!

How long before "Baba Money Tree" gets his own cult?
If he said the world won't end next year I'm selling all I own and investing in women, fast cars and drugs and going out with a bang.

"I'm selling all I own and investing in women, fast cars and drugs and going out with a bang." to paraphrase Besty the rest you're going to waste, JC Silly
Report boxingthefox • December 9, 2015 1:18 PM GMT
Quite a bit of poetic license on my part with "all I own" assuming some would be left to waste. Plain
Report boxingthefox • December 9, 2015 1:31 PM GMT
As for the prophecies, I must have read this stuff dozens of times over the years, the most interesting thing is, even if one prophecy has a vague resemblance to reality, the timing is never right.

The most widely known are the many interpretations of the works of Michel de Nostredame, Nostradamus, to you and me, Delores Cannon wrote quite a few books about this. The unfortunate thing is that she predicts that the Antichrist, who in the beginning looks like a good guy before releasing his reign of terror, is only defeated, (killed) by the floods caused when the Earth is violently changed by a massive shift in it's axis changing the globe as we know it.

Seems like the stockpiles of tinned food won't be any fcken use after all SadLaugh.
Report boxingthefox • December 9, 2015 1:37 PM GMT
It's curious really that nobody who has seen future events managed to see a news headline written or broadcast to say what day it happened, If I had seen 9/11 beforehand I think I would have remembered that!!.
