Why am I reading this shyte?!

I don't know but you've started posting it as well now.

Look I'm trying to turn it around myself with threads about pasta, vinegar, and how much money I deserve to win [1], but I'm just not cutting it. The *slam thing is predictable in that it's newsworthy, and everyone in the country outside the BBC/Guardian is pissed off that the coverage is completely the opposite of any common sense. They feel a need to vent, as the media is the opposite of reality.

By which I mean, speaking for myself, but also summarising for most people I think: I have absolutely nothing against anyone having that religion or the notion of following a different religion to me. Most people who follow it are decent people. But that one attracts a bad minority of followers who are really horrible people. When we're in a situation where the really bad ones are trying to come here to kill us, and the news is full of them killng us, but the media is on a different planet and will not accept reality... People come here to vent.

Chit chat is in some ways vent chat - where people get things off their chest.
