The V1 was a cruise misile - the first?  What you put on the tip matters.

It's impressive and reminds the west they have a mature technology but these things are expensive?
When you're completely safe in the airspace if I were them I'd be dropping cheaper stuff, given russia are near broke.

I do like the design of their "Blackjack", it's kind of like a lethal concorde Blush.
Knowing them the probably got most of the design documents for concorde anyway!

Eurocratic madness that the EU taunted Russia in the Ukraine - it would all have fallen softly in the next decade or two.  Did they have no one who remembered recent European history?  Or were they driven insane by their crazy salaries and manic pensions?

are we sure they're firing them at IS and not just anti-Assads

Who, apart from C4 news and the guardian, thinks they are so different??

Its precisely that thinking that got the entire of north africa into this mess. The continent used to be fairly stable, but every time a "dictator" was removed, chaos and slaughter has filled the vacuum, and some still want to continue the process, they never learn a damned thing.

Syria used to be, in that scheme of things, a good stable secular country.
Now, the ****ing hand wringers are demanding the Nazgul scumbags take over there as well.

Imho Russia can be Assad's right hand as much as they want. For once, and I'm not a russia fan, they are absolutely in the right.

A good opportunity for Britain not to get involved for once. By all means keep going in Iraq but let the Russians deal with Syria. Doubt it will happen like that though.

How do they know who they're hitting?

They either have special forces on the ground calling the targets or they're being a tad random..

The killing of even more civilians will lead to more refugees, more hatred and more terrorism.

Boots will have to be put on the ground in Syria and Iraq. Do the job properly.

If they want canon fodder I'll go. One last hurrah..

Well the US isn't sure - can't make up their minds who they hate more Assad or IS.
