Does anyone know if the £2 of the free ticket is a actually put in the pool ? I cannot find any mention that it is so all it's doing is diluting the pool the following week with Camelot not adding anything at all.

I believe Camelot are including the free lucky dip as part of the payout pool and if so this is bordering on a scandal.

I could be wrong but it smacks of something undehand they might try to get away with.

So last night there were 1.4m lucky dip winners which camelot is saying was a prize fund of £2.8 million - does this £2.8m or at least the prize portion of it - about 49% get put back into the pool the following week ? it would represent about 10% of the pool.

Ask them.

It's an interesting question ... I've "won" a lucky dip a couple of times recently and never really thought about it - but it could be a scam.

I just asssumed that I'd won £2 and that they were "re-investing" it for me - but maybe not.

If not then it's misleading and dishonest.

And its also interesting to know if they put the 60p thats for good causes into the charity pot. Interestingly i have had a good look on the website and no mention of a reinvestment.

Send 'em an e-mail

It's a simple question for them to deal with.

Post their reply.

The way Camelot operate it would be likely that the prize is NOT reinvested. The lottery as it stands is a complete waste of time.
