My mate is renovating an old house. He's ripped out most of the old copper piping but then decided to install a temporary tap downstairs. He recycled some of the old copper pipes and used them to do the pipe work for the tap. When I turned it on, I mean when he turned it on the water was black as he had inadvertently used some pipe from the central heating system! My question is will the brews he is making be contaminated with chemicals and kill him/me or will it be ok? T.I.A.
