This their response to bleeding from the neck as android useage takes over?
Or just more head burring in the sand and further price hikes for garbage?

A zone 2 dish installation will result in less loss of picture.
Report 1st time poster • November 2, 2015 12:20 PM GMT

if you login to your sky account on line and click on 'Left in last 12 months' you will see what they will offer you to come back. They are currently offering me the whole tv package with movies/sports/hd etc for £30.30 a month for 12 months and £100 account credit. Will give them a ring once they've launched 4k and see if they'll give me the new box and the same contract deal, if not I'll stick with BT

Well personally I cant see SKY doing very much in relation making their product better value for money.
They more likely to bring something out that attempts to justify the price, rather than reduce price to keep customers.
A bit like virgin continually giving the customer what they dont really need in internet speeds rather than offering a better valued product.

Sure all companies offer decent deals for short durations, but its telling on how much they make long term by getting you on board if they can offer suck deals.
As always its the people who do nothing whpo get fleeced and subsidise all others including over priced footballers.

I think that dead dog floated down stream a while back brendanuk.
I've got a feeling the only ppl who will find their latest release revolutionary will be the marketing dept.

It'll be a new box and/cloud based service so you can watch on your mobile, ipad, PC

That was suggested elsewhere, but apps do that now.
I think sky have to realise that they arnt immune to the effects of technological change, they have had a good time of it for the past few decades buying up sporting rights and controlling access to content to those unfortunate enough to reside on this island, but the reality is the days of simply turning the screw and upping price to pay more and more for those exclusive rights are over, they have pushed the engine too hard and now it's about to stall IMO.
If this product is either run of the mill garbage or some unreqyired tech and not something that addresses the fact that people have choices now then they have problems.
