My heart goes out to him, his wife and his eleven kids.
Must be hard. Says God told him to Go forth and multiply.
Funnily enough that was my sentiments as well.
Would make you cry.

Unfortunately you will be condemned as a racist for even raising the issue.  There is no full debate on the muslim issue and never will be. Our politicos are simply scared to lose their vote as they increase in numbers.

On this week, portillo, (the best PM we never had), spoke with fantastic accuracy on this subject area.
It's obvious but I've never heard it said so clearly, he said something like:
Employers pay people according to the job they do.
Peoples financial demands are largely related to how many kids they have.
Employers don't pay people according to how many kids they have, there is no link.

There is an expectation now however that people, families, don't need to live within their means and can pop out as many kids as they want and it's the state (i.e. OTHER families) job to fund it all.

Portillo was playing a blinder actually. He also commented on the strageness that every time Labour get in, they are allowed to raise the welfare bar, but there is a belief put out that the Tories are never to be allowed to lower it. Again very astute.

Portillo always talks sense and puts his point across very succinctly.
I worked with a girl who had 2 children and was always going on about struggling to make ends meet.
Her hubby was a labourer with a demolition company so not much scope to better himself.
Just before I retired I learnt she was pregnant. Beggars belief. But such is the way in this country.

There should be a limit on the number of kids you can have, Chinese style.

"I only earn £15,000 a year in a factory and my wife is a part-time cleaner. We would be better off chucking in our jobs and claiming benefits like him down the road. He used to be a teacher and it sickens me that a man can just give it up and have everything paid for by the state"

Might be even worse off (relatively)  with the tax credits cut.

IMHO if you can reasonably afford 4 kids and some mistfortune hits you down the line, then fair enough
the state should help, it's not the kids fault, let's help, I'm ok with that.
But if you never at the outset could afford them from the start, why should everyone else pay for them?

It's a difficult issue, very difficult, but there's a sense of fairness here.

In parts of Yorkshire it's some womens' religious duty to spit them out by the cart load

If God told him to "Go forth and multiply", he clearly shouldn't have quit his job as a maths teacher.

Some claim the world is over populated, but when a country has fall in population they then decide they need a bigger population.
Report boxingthefox • November 2, 2015 3:53 PM GMT
"We need young people to support the ageing population" mmmmmmm but when the young people get older won't the country need even more young people to support them???
