From Darkness (BBC1)

I watched the first episode of this today. Was disappointed but saw potential. Not so sure now after reading your post.

Will watch next two episodes tomorrow.

I reckon it's a struggle because the performance of the, usually reliable, Anne Marie Duff seems somehow disjointed. I suspect, however, that this is a deliberate ploy by the director and when the final denouement plays out it will become clear why her character seemed so random.
That said, if it is the 'twist' I'm expecting, it's been sign-posted from about halfway through episode two and surely won't surprise many - except the formidable and sceptical current Mrs O, who just ain't having it - the real reason I'm sticking with it is the small victory of being proven right once the ending is known (I don't get that often).

Stopped watching after the first episode.

Gave up after the second episode, just could not stand any more close ups of her face. Too much angst.

Try the ITV drama Unforgotten - two episodes of four gone, next on tomorrow night. Really good cast and has been pretty good so far.

Not belting, but there seems to be a real dearth of good drama at the moment and probably the best about.

Enjoyed the final episode of From Darkness - good ending I thought.

From Darkeness was decidely average. Loving The Unforgotten, it is brilliant!
