my car golf gti mk 5 (10 years old)

value 7k

parked residential parking bay

someone sided it --1.5k worth of damage

my insurance is £200 a year(excess £350)

is it worth putting a claim in?

Check your policy you may have protected no claims bonus, its usually a nominal amount on top of your policy

even if you dont have protected NCD its worth putting a claim in for £1000+. Insurance costs wont increase that much

took it to a repair shop----guy said he could do it for about 1k
