NASA will detail a major science finding from the agency’s ongoing exploration of Mars during a news briefing at 11:30 a.m. EDT on Monday, Sept. 28 at the James Webb Auditorium at NASA Headquarters in Washington. The event will be broadcast live on NASA Television and the agency's website.
of course there is life on mars, once man set down its rovers .the rovers would have carried bacteria from earth, and earth germs would also survive the trip to mars, spirit and curiosity would be crawling with them by now. Just the same as man contaminated the moon,he has now contaminated mars. check back in one hundred years and there will be a colony of mans germs and mans bacteria on both mars and the moon. heat nor cold will kill them.

they had already found shapes in the mars soil where water once flowed, and there is ice caps on the planet. sometimes I wonder was mars a planet like ours at one time in the distant past?

I think (although have no proof) that life teems the Universe but big beings that can aquire the ability to communicate over vast distances are a rarity.
It wouln't surprise me if there was life on Mars, Europa, Gannymee or Encelydous - even Pluto has a dynamic surface that could have running water.
