But I've not watched every programme, so it may have done.
Player number one got to the final with £8,000
Player number two was knocked out.
Player number 3 was Francesco, a forensic science student born in Milan. Italy.
'How much would you like to win?' asked Bradley
'I want to buy my mum a house.' said Francesco.
There's only £8k in the pot already, plus whatever he wins, and he only gets half of it.
Perhaps houses are cheap in Milan, I have no idea.
'Let's get your mum a house.' said Bradley, and off they went for two minutes of general knowledge.
He never got a question right, I've never seen that before. I've never seen anybody get just one right either,
So that was 'the house' gone.
The offers from the Chaser were: Stay where you are - for your prize fund of fack all Move a step away - for minus £2,000 Move a step closer - for £52,0000
I couldn't believe it when he went for the £52k
Considering his GK questions in round 1, and no correct answers, the £52k was a definite lay at any price.
Only ever catch this show now and again. But surely if your always going to gamble and want to get the highest offer the rope a dope strategy might have some value whereby you act stupid in the first round and then start answering questions in the next round. Obviously this would not seem a very good example of such game theory.

I personally wouldn't get many right in the first round as I'm a bit mutton & also struggle to catch what Bradley says.So I could easily get none right but I'd certainly go for the bigger offer as you've more time to hear the questions & they are also wrote down in front of you.I of course probably wouldn't get through but I'd certainly certainly give them a surprise & realise it's not a dope they have on their hands. One day this scenario could well happen, someone similar to me having a go.

This is my favourite quiz show and also like the American version on Challenge freeview every night, it's more fast-paced and the American audience and contestants lot more enthusiastic. From the shows I've watched so far 'The Beast' is on all of them, not sure why they don't use the other 3 chasers in America (?) But really enjoy both shows.

why cant all make a secret deal pre-show, all 4 go for big offers....hoping that one or two get thru...then share the money post-show without telling the producers.

I think with the American version the pace is just right, Brooke and The Beast are excellent together, and better with an audience. Just minor points, I enjoy watching both shows.
