Monday to Wednesday this week must be the most barren few days in years.  No World Cup or Euros this year.  Copa America finished.  Only some rubbish in North America.  No tennis, cricket or golf and not even a big horse racing meeting.  Not even any rugger.

What is the biggest sporting event/match taking place currently?

Venue: Hainault golf course 10'o clock

Match: Me against my arch rival Johnny G

Event: The Mackeson Trophy, played for each summer

Current score: Johnny leads the Mackeson 8-4

The competition between John and myself is immense.last year we drew 12-12.

Sky Sports could do a lot worse than to cover our epic matches although the bad language when 2 ft putts are missed may not be suitable for family viewing.

The racing today is absolutely dire, Bath, Beverley and Lingfield. Sad
Bath must be the worst track in the U.K.
