I'm not sleepy and there is no place I'm going to

Yes indeed, but sadly that version missed out all the great poetry.  Dylan was/is a great poet.

Didn't have you down as an acoustic hardman, sofia.  I'll update your file.

Libido
Made my day that you dropped in
For me Mcguinn's rickenbacker translated
that perception of freedom that touched a nerve in my feeble
brain...but dylan's lyrics turned my attention away from the Beatles etal
and look where I am today.

You mean posting on chit chat after midnight?

In my mid teens I did some of the early Eysenck IQ tests.  I usually scored over 200 in that I got all the questions right in the allowed time.  Then I discovered alcohol.  Now here I am posting on chit chat after midnight.  Lucifer's fall from Paradise was a mere stumble over an uneven paving stone in comparison.

And I wouldn't change a thing, apart from having Brave Inca winning the Irish Champion Hurdle a year earlier.  There are many worse places to be.

I want to come up with some profound reply that would "open magic casements in faery lands forlorn"
but I can't.....as i see the world today words can't express my sadness as we  witness the horror unfolding .
I perceive that had things turned you in another direction we would see you as some reed broken in the wind but yet
deep in our consciousness...a light shining.

Had things turned out differently, I would probably have vomited on your shoes somewhere or other.

Poetry of a different kind.

Shocked
Then take me disappearin' through the smoke rings of my mind
Down the foggy ruins of time, far past the frozen leaves
The haunted, frightened trees, out to the windy beach
Far from the twisted reach of crazy sorrow
Yes, to dance beneath the diamond sky with one hand waving free
Silhouetted by the sea, circled by the circus sands
With all memory and fate driven deep beneath the waves
Let me forget about today until tomorrow.

We are the blessed generation - some more blessed than others for sure.

And a partial appreciation of quantum mechanics suggests life/death is without end, beginning or anything in the middle.  I find a comfort in that.

I just hope that at the very end of time we all don't have to get together and talk about it.  So never vote socialist.

Talk with you before the 100th anniversary, hopefully.

Sleep well.  And the rest of you.
