Black Work 9pm tonight ITV

ITV and quality crime drama ......been like oil and water for many years.

Let's see if they have got any better.

Can't recall it ever being advertised over the last month or so

I didn't watch it but the wife has just told me it was a good watch so I'll maybe watch it on catch up.

That Sheridan Smith must be sh@gin someone high up at ITV.

She's on fluckin everything......... Very over rated imo

Sheridan Smith is good but this was total crap.Why did they elect to go for a heavy,constant mournful soundtrack over what was all ready minimal dialogue. Its a habit these days to make moody dramas like this that crawl along.It was awful. Luckily no need to watch next week as they gave all the action away in the trailer at the end.

It's just typical of TV producers/executives to take someone with mediocre talent, turn them into the latest 'girl next door/working class girl done good' and shove them down your throat.

Give them a few lead roles in ''good'' dramas and the public will think -oh that Sheridan is in this, she was good in whatever, I'd better watch this-

It's called brainwashing folks!! Getting people to think and do exactly what they want you to do.

There's probably loads of actresses that could do a better job, but they don't have the backing of the people that hold the purse strings.

I have nothing against the girl..... good luck to her.

But if she was as good as they want you to believe she is, wouldn't she be in Hollywood blockbuster films?

Give her a few more years till the next flavour of the month comes on the scene and Sheridan will be doing voice overs for documentarys or even TV commercials.

Or if she is lucky, she might get a long running part on coronation street.

A bit like Sarah Lancashire (Rachel Watts off corry) career, but the other way round.

Maybe I'm just a cynical old git, but that is my opinion, and as someone has already pointed out on here - my opinion counts for Jack sh1t .

In Hollywood blockbusters? No. Because the 'Hollywood Purse Strings' want you to adore THEIR pet actress!! Just be glad for what you've got.

This is why I turn off the tv at this point. Stupid and unnecessary  - and an insult to viewers intelligence. Although I believe it's required viewing for American audiences !

I watched all three parts of this today.

It was a bit rubbishy but still very watchable.

It was good being able to fast forward the adverts and avoid the previews of the next episode so there were lots of surprises along the way.

I will give it 8/10

I watched it all in one session too, but only a 6 from me - mediocre, and dull imo.

And according to my uncle, who was once an undercover officer himself, it contained many inaccuracies.
