Favourite and Worst national flag?

Macedonia's flag always reminds me of the Japanese naval ensign

Nepal is a cracker - not too many pennons in the flag world and this one has two.  Easily the least boring flag in the world.

Best: Ceylon and South Korea

Worst: UK

Are bicolours acceptable? The Ukrainian flag, offering a blue sky over yellow fields of wheat, does what it's supposed to nice and simply.

Red, white and blue tricolours are the worst. Russia, France, Netherlands ... which is which? Who cares?

Japanese flag easily the best.

bicolours are fine.  It is quite a bold statement to make, which is to be respected.  Tricolores are on their @rse, is there any nation with a tricolor flag that isn't a bit sh1tty?

The Swiss flag always a personal favourite.

France possibly the greatest of all countries, and tri colour.

Is that what the ukraine flag is supposed to represent?  If so fair play to them, few nicer sights than a field of corn with a a blue sky in the middle of summer.

I think you need to think about WHY the flags exist. Then you might realise that some flags are more suited to purpose than others.

The Nazi flag (Designed by Hitler himself) is arguably the most striking and most artistic flag ever designed, just a shame what it represented.

Nicked it off the Isle Of Man one imo.

Favourites probably Bermuda and Saint Pierre and Miquelon.
Least favourite - Russian Federation.

St Pierre & Miquelon is excellent: there can't be a nation on the planet which doesn't look at that flag and think, "Oh there's a bit on their flag that looks a bit like ours; we'll leave then alone."

Yeah that flag is brilliant Sultan.  Says it is the official flag of France don't get that.  Just shows what a contemptible bunch the French are that they would rather the tricolor than that masterpiece.

The big white one that the indigenous British show is very popular.

Indigenous = anyone who lives in a country and generally accepts its culture and goes along with it ... and doesn't  try to kill people because they're different, imo.

re the ISIS one, there's an 'interesting' site (barenakedislam) where 2 Egyptian women are defecating on the flag, which apparently says in Arabic "there is no god but Allah."
