If you have seen the film 'Four Lions'...one of the guys recommends shaking your face side to side fast. It comes out as a blur!!  CoolGrin

Open Paint from the Start menu.

Click Paste (top left) then Paste From.

Thumbnails of your pics and downloads will appear. Click the one you want and it should appear in the Paint screen.

Select a shape from the Shapes menu at top of the screen (eg the rectangle) and double click on it. Now click on the area you want to blur and draw the shape around it.

On top of screen click Color2, then any colour you fancy, then Fill, then eg Crayon, or whatever style you prefer.

If you want to try again click Undo (third icon from the left at very top of screen).

Finally click Save (2nd icon from left at top of screen)

@screaming
Haven't tried that yet but have been wondering how to do it.
Any chance you could post similar instructions for adding text to pics.

It's not his face he is trying to block out...it's his body!  LaughLaugh

He'll be appearing on Facebook with the body of a bronzed Adonis...with a blacked-out head!  Cry

I am 53 years old and never touched a computer until 30 Jan 2005, so the answer is, Yes, but not very well.

Get your pic into Paint, as above. Click the big A next to Tools. Click and drag on the picture where you want the text to appear. Click Opaque or Transparent at top of screen according to how you want the caption to appear. Click next to Calibri to select your font, if you don't like Calibri. Select a number in the Font box for text size (higher is bigger). Type your message (you can bold, italicize etc. using the icons in the Font box). Then Save.

It doesn't look very professional. I expect to do that you need something like the programs people have on their computers when they're at work, but that means getting a job and that is not the sort of thing I get myself involved in.

Thanks screaming. Will set about that later.
As regards the job then, like you, no thanks. Retired at 55 to get away from the whole stinking thing that is employment.
Less cash but happier.

I don't want to appear smug but take a picture from the shoulders down, my Mum does it every time. We have become a faceless family, God help us if we have to give a recent picture to the Police should something happen to one of us.
